Sacrilege - The Game
Background
As a fan of RPG's and a product of the Catholic school system, one could only expect that my first game
would be something like Sacrilege - The Game. I originally wrote Sacrilege over the Summer of 2003 as
a text based dungeon crawler, but it had a number of bugs and was awkward to control. Thus I remade the
entire game in the Summer and Fall of 2004 with a new interface and images.
Due to its mildly humorous content, Sacrilege - The Game has been featured on the dave site since some
time in early 2005.
Game Description
Sacrilege - The Game is a small RPG dungeon in which the (anti-)hero encounters a number of characters
found in the religious world. You will battle a number of traditionally good characters and befriend some
evil ones. Possible actions while in battle include attack, run, and bake a cake. The goal of the game is
to escape the dungeon through the bottom left corner.
Warnings
- This game could be construed as a bit offensive to people with strong religious convictions
- I have been told that this game is HARD. I don't agree, but some recommendations:
      1) Baking a cake restores your HP, doing it often is useful.
      2) The colors on the ground tell how difficult the enemies are. Keep track of your level.
      3) Visiting all of the treasure chests is necessary to win.
