Mow it to the MAX!
Background
Shortly after Timebomb was finished, (while still in Albuquerque) I began writing Mow it to the MAX!
I thought it would be funny to make a game that would simulate a chore that people might be skipping to
play the game. This is my first game with semi-fluid movements, which despite their relative simplicity,
took a long time to figure out. I also made something like 10 different endings depending on score and
what actions the player takes. (Most endings have a hidden easter egg)
This game contains the word "Mexican" which apparently was considered to possibly be offensive by a campus
organization. Consequently it was not featured at a video game showcase on university property. I thought
that was pretty funny.
Game Description
Mow it to the MAX! is similar to Nibbles or Pac-Man. You steer a lawnmower around a number of yards
attempting to cut all of the grass using up, down, left, and right. As you cut the grass, it will turn a
lighter shade of green. You earn money for cutting the grass, but you will have to pay for the gas you
use and any damage you cause to the owner's property. If you run out of money before time is up, then you
will be fired.
