That Cow Ain't Worth Beans
Background
I first thought of "That Cow..." during the Fall of 2005. I have always been a huge fan of point-and-
click adventure games (Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion, etc.) and I thought it would be neat to create
my own. I brainstormed for a while about plotline, characters, and puzzles for the game, but decided
that I wouldn't be able to properly program the game at the time.
A few years later I renewed development of the game after I started some game programming in C++. I
animated most of the backgrounds and I fleshed out the rest of the storyline into a ~ 1 hour game.
Currently progress is slow and infrequent due to work on other game projects.
Game Description
That Cow Ain't Worth Beans is a point-and-click adventure game set in a present day, rural town. The
hero is trying to find food for himself and his mother, when strange things begin to happen. He must
save himself, the girl, and the town, all while putting some food on the table.
Little development has occurred, but the intention is to control the character with the arrow keys and
pick up/use items with different letter keys. The focus of the game will be on puzzle solving rather
than time-dependent actions such as dodging or attacking enemies.
