About

TransNet is a versatile gateway for MS-DOS that connects Fidonet to the Internet. It features:

  • Fidonet netmail to Internet email
  • Fidonet echomail to Internet mailing lists
  • Hosts Internet mailing lists
  • Serves files over email
  • Versatile access control lists
  • Header and footer templates
  • Address aliasing
  • Supports Fidonet BBSs
  • Supports Fidonet FrontDoor and Binkley-style mail software
  • Supports Fidonet domains

TransNet requires a POP3 email account, and a dedicated Fidonet address. Email processing works similar to common mailing list programs.
