I am the Director of the Comprehensive Studies Program (CSP) at the University of Michigan, and a Lecturer in the Native American Studies Program in the Department of American Culture.

My research and creative interests include the recovery and maintenance of Anishinaabemowin language and literature, with an interest in language proficiency and assesment, and the study of indigenous literary aethetics and rhetoric.

I also write poetry in both Anishinaabemowin and English.
