AUSTRALIA HOME

Victoria - 18 May to 22 May and

30 May to 1 June 2000

I visited Melbourne twice, first with the club and then on my way home from Canberra. The first day was long, with a stop at a winery (right) and a visit to the penguins at Philip Island. The rest of our time was occupied by shoping for souvenirs at the Queen Victoria Market, a banquet on the last night for the Club, and taking in a Australian Rules Football game - a new experience for all of us. On my second visit, I went to the Melbourne Cricket Grounds, which hosted the 1952 Olympics, and the Melbourne City Opera. Melbourne was by far my favorite city in Australia, and I'd love to go back.
