Mathematical Interests

Although I remain perpetually amazed by all areas of mathematics, my primary area of interest is the interface of geometry and analysis, poularly known as geometric analysis.

I am currently studying ergodic theory, modern theory of dynamical systems and Lie groups.

Some of the important problems that I would like to learn about in the near future are :

  1. "Can one hear the shape of a drum?" - Weyl's law and the theory of Laplacian on a Riemannian manifold
  2. Atiyah-Singer Index theorem
  3. Hyperbolic dynamics
  4. Modern theory of PDEs
  5. Recently, someone explained to me some ideas underlying algebraic geometry that has remarkable connections with differential geometry.
I would like to learn some algebraic geometry, at some point of time.
