Over the course of my career, I have been involved in developing new technology-based performance and teaching activities. In the area of performance, I created a live interactive performance in 2007 with Paul Besaw and John Mantegna, for a production entitled, “Three Wonderers down Yonder.” View the performance here. I composed and performed the music on double bass. Paul choreographed the 3 dancers, and John manipulated my sound using live electronics processing.

I am experienced working with a variety of hardware and software for music composition and performance. In 2000 I received a teaching incentive grant to implement computer-based aural skills training in our music theory curriculum. In 2001 I received a substantial grant to develop a new music technology laboratory, which was completed in 2003.
