shadows

To what bright world afar did you belong,
You ancient voyagers of immortal birth?
What fair world of wonders, heroes and song
Did you depart for our Shadowed earth?
What was your crime in that ordered sphere,
That you were banished here?

Allemain
A vast and enchanted undersea realm, ruled by Llewella sar Lir. It stands as the leader of a small group of water caers that make tribute to Llewella in the form of troops, servants, money, food and goods.

Avalon
An ancient kingdom, held by Benedict Lackhand. Insular and strong, Benedict rarely involves himself in disputes or alliances with other kingdoms, and keeps a very large army.

Blythe
standing at the nexus of various worldpaths, Blythe is a place much like Earth's England; a land that embodies a spirit of mystery and legend, yet thrives as a modern society. While at a technology level approximating early 21st century Earth, Blythe has some magic, enough for various classes of fae and demons to also call it home. Stone circles are magically active places, protected areas that demon-kind cannot enter.

The Darkling Realms
A land of small warrior-kings beholden to one great warleader. High King Korbin unified the Darkling under his regime years ago. His children rule several caers beneath him: Merlin in the Indigo Rivers, Rowan in the Silver Marches. The rest have been bequeathed to his loyal subjects.

The Golden Gate
A land of many petty kingdoms and republics, with great technology and little magic; this is Earth in all its splendor, ruled firmly by money-- and the corporations and special interest groups who own the money.

New Arden
A heavily forested land, held by Julius Hawksworn and his children. There are very few humans; the land is ostensibly ruled by the Hawksworn family, but they have never tried to dominate it. They hire and train the Rangers who patrol the dense forests, watching always for invaders, and protect the flora and fauna. Technology is spurned, as is human magic. The population of elves and fairies lives in relative harmony with the human inhabitants; the elves have legends of a distant past in which they fled a land that had been taken over by humans. The elves so vastly outnumber the humans, and care so little about human politics that thus far peace is maintained.

Temple: a vast frontier land of outlaws and gunslingers, life here is held cheaply.
