The Battle of Arthuret

The battle of Arthuret, or Arderydd (Arthur's Head, interestingly) involved Rhydderch of Strathclyde and Genddolau, and contains the first real mention of Merlin in any literature. This battle also makes mention of the famous Urien and Owain of Rheged, and occurred sometime in the ??? century, outside of the generally acknowledged Arthurian time-frame. Urien and Owain of Rheged are often picked up as part of the Arthurian legend.
