Some original designs
When I started scratchbuilding, I knew I would be building upscale
models. I also came across some parts and made some original designs to
use the parts. The orange model was a way to use some transitions and Big
Bertha fins. I call it Vega. It is BT-60, BT-20 and BT-5. The tube fin
model is made from 54mm tubing and flies on F and larger motors. The blue
one is called Antares and is made of 2.6" Aerotech components. It flies
on E and F motors. The black & white one is called Rigel and is made
of BT-60 and BT-70. It flies on D and E motors. The red one at the bottom is
an upscaled TRI-F-O. It is a UFO type model that flys on 24mm and 29mm motors.
I got the idea from an article in the summer '96 issue of Sport Rocketry.
