Karla graduated from the St. Olaf in the spring of 1997. She has worked in the area of main group polymers and the use of weak secondary and tertiary structure to control solid state and solution structure.  Most recently, she has discovered novel C-H insertion, C-C bond making, and C-C bond breaking reactions initiated by germanium complexes.
