Information Systems Specialist/Webmaster ICPSR maintains and provides access to a vast archive of social science data for research and instruction, and offers training in quantitative methods to facilitate effective data use. In addition, ICPSR provides user support to assist researchers in identifying relevant data for analysis and in conducting their research projects. My work with ICPSR involves maintaining and expanding existing Web content, as well as improving the navigational structure of the Web site.

Database/Web Administrator The University of Michigan Press is a publisher of scholarly monographs. My role as part of the Digital Publishing and Information Management team has primarily involved maintaining the database and Web site, though I have also served as product designer for two CD-ROM products: A Study of Crisis and Scientific and Medical Writings in Old and Middle English.

College At Knox College, my primary focus was Russian and German literature and language, though I also studies Russian and German culture, and Russian history. My training in ceramic sculpture was applied work, learning how to mix glazes and different clay bodies and how to conduct kiln firings. |

University As part of the ACM/GLCA (Associated Colleges of the Midwest/Great Lakes College Association) Russia program, I studied in a university in southern Russia, under native professors, where I underwent a rigorous program that focused on Russian language, culture, history, and literature. |
Technical Skills
Though the bulk of my computer experience has been on the Macintosh, I have also worked with Windows computers in my current position, and have a fairly basic understanding of Windows 95/98/Me. My work has traditionally involved developing cross-platform database and Web solutions, and so it has been necessary for me to work on both platforms.
