The Legend of Zelda Unity Remaster

Introduction

This is a Unity remaster of the first dungeon (the Eagle) from The Legend of Zelda. The game is developed as the first course project of EECS 494: Video Game Development @ Michigan.

Our custom level follows the room after defeating Aquamentus. The first room is a tutorial for our new mechanics: laser beam and fire block. Following are rooms with more complex design.

The laser beam is a new weapon that can kill all enemies on a line. It can be shot in eight directions (supporting 45 degrees). The new fire block can only be activated by the laser beam. Upon activation, it will trigger bridges on the water within a limited time.

Our mechanics involves a time limit in play. Bridges triggered by fire block will disappear after 10 seconds, then players will fall into the water and die instantly. Since certain fire blocks will trigger corresponding bridge tiles on the stage, players will need to try and remember the correct order to activate fire blocks to pass a stage.
