I'm a Ph. D. student in the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and my advisor is Elizabeth Tibbetts.

My interest is primarily in the social behavior of insects, although the social behavior of other organisms interest me at well. In insects, I'm interested in eusociality, aggregation, inbreeding/outbreeding, kin selection/recognition, and conflict/cooperation between siblings/haplodiploids/offspring. I also have an interest in the evolutionary origins and mechanisms of sex differences, such as longevity and sexual behavior.
