Abstract
As part of the class SI 501- Contextual Inquiry and Project Management, I worked on a semester long project with the Special Collections Library where we were asked to examine the process of answering patron reference queries arriving via telephone or email, looking for inefficiencies and ways in which the process could be streamlined. Through a series of interviews, an inspection of the physical space occupied by Special Collections, and an extensive modeling and diagraming process, we identified several key ways to accomplish this goal.
