Evaluation of Mobile Phone (Motorola Razr)

Abstract

As part of the class SI 622- Evaluation of Systems and Services, I worked on a semester long project in which we evaluated the text-messaging interface for the iconic phone Motorola Razr. As a team we evaluated the usability, functionality and design of the phone using the methods mentioned below.

Unlike evaluation of websites, where one can use screen-capture tools, usability testing of the phone had its set of road-blocks. Finding a well-represented set of users,capturing the subtle differences in how users access the various functions on a phone and finally doing an unbiased evaluation of the data were some of the challenges we faced.
