A Self Portrait Every Two Hours
acetate, ink, slides, thread
2013

I set out to find out if my life was as monotonous as I felt. I often found myself feeling the same emotion at the same time, in the same place, wearing the same thing and completing the same task. In order to see if my life was as repetitive as I believed it to be, I took a picture of myself every two hours for ten days. Because I cannot function without a solid eight hours of sleep, I let myself sleep through the night, but took a picture right before I went to sleep, and one when I immediately woke up the next morning. The slides are not arranged chronologically, but grouped by place.
