Elemental Mercury
Elemental
mercury is mercury used in thermometers, dental fillings, and batteries.
One
battery containing mercury thrown into nature pollutes 400 liters of water
and one cubic meter of land during 50 years. The world production of batteries
is 10 billion every year. Click on the bunny to learn more about mercury that's

One
particular study found that heavy metals, such a mercury, cause hormonal
fluctuations, which may increase the risk of miscarriage. This is illustrated
by the decreased amount of progesterone and ovarian function in women exposed
to mercury via amalgam dental fillings. Urinary mercury excretion was positively
correlated to the number of amalgam dental fillings present, as presented
by the World Health Organization in 1991.
