Photographic Restoration


Original (top) image was yellowed, faded, and had cracks running through two of the faces. It was also evident that this picture had been adhered to a surface using tape along the bottom and top of the image causing additional damage. The restored (bottom) image was corrected digitaly, printed on FB paper, and sepia toned. Please click on the image for a more detailed copy of it.

Original image shown on right, is an early 1900's photograph with multiple deterioration problems. Image on the left was produced using traditional restoration methods including retouch work on both negative and print.

The final image was archivally processed on FB paper and sepia toned. Following completion, the two pictures were matted and displayed side by side in a single 16"x20" frame. Please click on the image for a larger more detailed copy of it.

On the right is a copy of an early 1920's photograph. The image on the left has been restored through digital imaging. Following digital manipulation, the image was taken to a service bureau and a 35mm negative was made. The image was then printed and archivally processed on FB paper and sepia toned.
