Homework Assignments:  Physics 390      Winter 2007

Solving problems is not only the best way to learn physics, it is the only way. For this reason, the problem sets are the most important part of the course. You are strongly encouraged to work together on the problem sets; however you are not allowed to simply copy solutions obtained from other students or from other sources. To get the greatest benefit from the problem sets you should attempt to think through every problem yourself before discussing it with others or looking at the solutions. You are not necessarily expected to be able to solve every problem on your own, but you should eventually come to understand the solutions to all the problems.
