[EDUCATION!]

Here are some links to various "educational resources":

Cultural Resources ...for lack of anything else to call them...

* The English Server

How can anything be so much fun, yet so very educational at the same time? The English Server is really wonderful collection of links that cover more than just the English language. A great stating point for most anything. That's why I put it first. Brought to us by Carnegie Mellon University.

Dictionaries and other Reference Books

* An English-German / German-English Dictionary

This formerly pointed to Langenscheidt's dictionaries, but the have restricted the access to the University of Passau. This one probably is not as good, but you take what you can get.

* Only available within the UMICH.EDU doimain

The Oxford English Dictionary

The American Heritage Dictionary

* Some more English (and other language) dictionaries

* The Encyclodpedia Britannica

* The WWW Bible Gateway

Media

* The Internet Movie Database

Formerly known as the Cardiff Movie Database.

Music

* The Digital Tradition Folk Song collection.
This site had been hosted by Xerox for many years. A new site has picked it up. Check it out at MudCat: http://www.mudcat.org/. Thanks for the fun, Xerox. I hope these MudCat people are as cool.

* Music Resources on the Internet

If you can't find what your looking for... You may wish to try The University of Michigan School of Library Studies. They are involved and in charge of a number of WWW projects at UofM. At least you might get a little closer to what you're looking for.
