I am currently a doctoral candidate in mass communication in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Michigan.
The main focus of my studies is on the political effects of the mass media, but I am also interested in traditional media effects.
My work deals with the role of non-traditional channels and sources, such as late night talk shows, soft news and entertainment programming, and interpersonal discussion, in conveying political information to the public.
I am also interested in how emotionally valenced political messages affect information seeking and learning.
