Hyperbaric Oxygen for Cerebral Palsy

We are enrolling 3-8 year-old patients with cerebral palsy who will get 40 dives (hyperbaric treatments) at 1.5 ATA. Half will get 21% air, the other half 100%. Blinded testing is done before and up to 6 months after the treatments.

Exclusion criteria are :

• Previous hyperbaric treatments

• Active seizure disorder

• Significant cardiopulmonary disease

• Orthopedic surgery

• BOTOX

• Baclofen pump implant planned for the upcoming 6-9 months

• History of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy

The study is sponsored by the Department of Defense and has multiple IRB approvals.
