Atkins Diet and KetoCal for Pediatric Epilepsy

Children 3-18 years with intractable seizures will be placed on the Atkins diet in combination with KetoCal. The study involves 3 trips to Baltimore in 2 months, but is free of charge. The sponsor is Nutricia, who pays for nearly all patient costs. The study is IRB approved and open-label, noncontrolled. Study just started this month (6/08).
