FLOFEST
Students and faculty in Landscape Architecture at the University of Michigan have an annual celebration of Frederick Law Olmsted (FLO), the father of Landscape Architecture. Last year, I hosted FLOfest at my home and had over 60 guests over the course of the evening. We allowed in enjoyed a potluck meal and the special FLO cake.
Chicago Field Trip (see pictures below)
In September of 2003, first year Landscape Architecture students took a field trip to Chicago. This field trip involves meeting with local Landscape Architects and exploring some fine examples of design. One of our alumni, Andi Cooper, kindly arranged for a tour of the City of Chicago’s Green Roof. High above the street, we explore the roof garden. Scroll down and see the students on top of the roof.
