Software tools we'll be using in class

 

We will be using R - a free software environment for statistical computing and graphing. It runs on windows, mac OS, and linux.

R is easy to use! (or at least the New York Times thinks so).

There are other statistical software packages that we will not be using but that you may encounter later on in life.

The skills and concepts you learn in R will make using any of the other software easier.
