Lectures will be
Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 9:00 to 10:30 am (argh, I know).
On Tuesdays we will usually meet in 409 West Hall, on Thursdays we will be at the DIAD lab.

Assignments and grading :

  • ~ 8 problem sets (35%) ( lowest score will be dropped)
  • article review (5%)
  • midterm (15%)
  • final (20%)
  • mini-project (20%)
  • in-class participation (5%)

Problem sets are typically due Thursdays before class (9:00 am) and can be submitted either electronically via cTools or on paper in class. If submitting electronically, all code, plots, etc. must be included in a single PDF file.

Late policy: Assignments may be submitted up to 2 days after they are due (e.g. Saturday at midnight if the assignment was due on Thursday) and suffer a 10% penalty. No late assignments will be accepted past this point.
