Biostat 510 Final Project Winter, 2009

    • Please work independently on the project. If you have problems, contact me (kwelch@umich.edu) or send an email to the Biostat 510 instructors' group (b510inst@umich.edu). Class sessions will be held at the regular times on Tuesdays and Thursdays until the end of the semester. I will be lecturing during each class, and will also answer a few questions regarding the project. These class sessions will primarily be lectures, and not help sessions for the project.

    The project is due by 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 22nd in Kyana Taylor and Tara Kazmeier's office in the Biostat Department (Room 4210 SPH II), just across the hall from the elevator and the stairs.

    You can get a CD on which to place your final project data set, your SAS commands and your SPSS commands from Kyana or Tara in room 4210 SPH II.

    Each student has a random sample of 800 observations drawn from the Tecumseh Community Health Study data. To get your data set, download it to your computer. You will need to write a data step to read the data into SAS, and a data list command to read the data into SPSS. Let me know if you have any problems getting your data, or cannot find your data set here.
