Course Project--Tentative Proposal

As a component of the work you will fulfill for this course, you are to complete a course project. Your project might include the development of a piece of software that incorporates design features that are linked to theory, an extended literature review, a pilot study exploring how technology influences learning, or the development of some curriculum. Other possibilities exist; you just need to come up with an idea. Each of you will have the opportunity to present your project to the class.

You are to turn in a one page tentative proposal describing you course project by 10/28. Prior to that date, you should make an appointment to discuss your project. If we cannot find a time to meet, we can discuss your project via email. On 10/28, we will spend time discussing your proposals in class. Based on the feedback you receive, you can modify your proposal.

Your proposal should have the following components:

(You must show how your project is related to the current literature/work in the field.)
(If paper, provide an outline of the major topics. If project, outline the procedures to be followed. Give a description of the final product. Include the intended scope/limits of your efforts.)

Write-up and class presentation: I expect both a project write-up and a class presentation. You will make a 30 minute class presentation on 11/26 or 12/3. Computer illustrations, overheads, and handouts will facilitate class presentations. Write-ups should be of professional quality and will be due no later than 12/15.
