ARMENIKUM INFORMATION-ANALYTIC CENTER CREATED IN ARMENIA
YEREVAN. An information-analytic center has been created of late by
the program of Armenikum, carrying the same name. The objective of
the center is to coordinate all streams of information regarding the
Armenikum preparation invented by the Armenian scientists, as well as
to work with mass media, head of the center David Aslanian
informed.
According to him, it seems a bit tactless yet to speak of the number
of patients who have recovered from AIDS so far, however it should be
noted that almost 100 AIDS-stricken persons have already gone through
clinicaltestings. These are people from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus,
Moldova, Georgia,
Armenia, Cambodia, US, Iran, and UAE, the average age of them making
22-24 years old. Mr
Aslanian noted that the treatment is free of charge, and the only
thing patients have to pay for is transport expenses. Main causes for
this are, first, that the preparation is yet at its self-assertion
stage, and second that this gratis treatment has also some
humanitarian aspect, given the global scale this disease keeps
assuming day by day.
Tri-therapy, which embraces at least three preparations against AIDS
and is presently applied in US and Europe, must be constantly
repeated through the whole life its cost hovering between $13-18,000
a year. The Armenikum treatment will be much cheaper, its full course
covering only several
stages.
Just to give an example, we would like to point to one of the
patients, Brian Sihan, HIV-infected for already 9 years. He returned
to Armenia for going through the second stage of the treatment. After
the first stage, the patient, all rack of bones, in quite a dire
state, kind of came round adding
up some 12 km to his weight.
