Samvel Grigorian Appointed New AIDS Center Director
YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan) Dr. Samvel Grigorian, a senior expert for Armenia's Ministry of Health, was appointed as the new head of the National AIDS Center, succeeding Lev Zohrabian.
Grigorian is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, a full member of the Academy of Sexual Behavior Research and member of the Culture and Health human sexuality association, will succeed Lev Zohrabian as Director of the National AIDS Center. Zohrabian is leaving for the United States on a two-year sabbatical.
It should be mentioned that apart from his primary domain of activities aimed at prevention and control of HIV and AIDS , the AIDS Center also oversees the clinical trials of the new drug Armenicum, said to treat AIDS.
