"Baggage": Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in my warm new bed, I'd like to open my baggage, Lest I forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret. Hmmm...Yes, there it is, right on the top, Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by my perch hides Fear and Shame. As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave - I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them, the others, the ones who left me, But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me. Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things - And take me right back? Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, to never repack? I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see, But I do come with baggage - Will you still want me? By Evelyn Colbath(c)1995 Baggage All rights reserved.

This boy is names Lucky if you can believe it. I personally think the only lucky thing that has ever happened for this boy is being taken from his owner by Animal control. Lucky is approximately 2 years old, 20-30 pounds underweight, has Ectropian eyes (hope I spelled that right), his right eye is ulcerated, and he has a skin condition. (We know the skin condition is not mange as 3 skin scrapes have all come back negative.) Lucky will be neutered on 9/12/01. At that time he will be heartworm tested because to do so now would cause too much pain for this boy. In spite of all he has been through he has the best temperment that I have ever seen in any Neo.
UPDATE: LUCKY HAS FOUND THE PERFECT HOME FOR HIMSELF. . |
| This is Brandy, a 6 month old Mahogany Neo Mastiff that I am fostering.
Brandy is a living doll and will make a fantastic addition to someones family.
She gets along fantastically with my 2 adult English Mastiffs and the newest
addition to our family, an 11 week old English Mastiff. Brandy had her Vet
check on 7/14/00 and she is in great health. She is currently 83 pounds
and will be spayed on 7/21/00. If you are interested in Brandy please click
on the link below for the USNMC Rescue or my email link. You can't go wrong
with this baby. |

This is JD (stands for John Doe). JD was in a shelter in Detroit, Mi. and very scared when a volunteer picked him up. After a couple of weeks with love and care in his foster home JD has become a real love bug. On 6-23-00 JD will be placed in his new home with a family that can't wait for their new "son" to arrive. Congratulations to JD, Bob and Rosemarie!!!!!!! |

This is Mandy, aka Miranda. She came to our home in January 2000. We started working with her right away as Mandy has fear issues. She has never shown any aggression but was terrified. I am glad to announce that 1 month after coming to our home she is adjusting well, though we continue to introduce things to her slowly, after all she spent the first 17 months of her life kenneled with little or no contact and the big bad world is intimidating for her. Mandy has decided that we are worth adopting as parents and nothing could have made us happier. Mandy is 19 months old in this picture. |
| Maggie is the Apricot Mastiff shown in this picture. She is 5 months old and is one of the dogs from the Mastiff Rescue program. The other dog is my Brindle Mastiff DJ at 1 year old. UPDATE: 1-15-2000 MAGGIE WAS ADOPTED INTO A FAMILY WITH 5 CHILDREN, 2 ADULTS, AND 2 DOGS!!!! |
