Wow. I guess it's been a year and 4 months since I've been
here. I was paying for this account with a credit card, which
expired, and so when I got the new card and card number, this
account stopped, since it wasn't being paid for. But, on my
current quest for applying to grad school, I needed to login
to my umich account stuff, and so here I am again. I'm almost
100% sure no one comes here anymore, which sux, but is also
nice since I now have a private yet still online place I can
write about stuff. Since I last wrote, I've been to Thailand
twice, which were both pretty awesome. I'm currently working
in Korea, with 3 jobs, all part-time. I'm also in the process
of searching for and getting ready to apply to grad schools in
the US. I took the GRE this past June, and got 600,700,5.5.
It's not a great score, but it'll get me started. If I do get
in to any grad schools, I'll be heading back to the states next
summer (of 2008), for another long haul of studying. 5 years
minimum, since I'll be doing masters and PhD. Should be fun.

Not much has changed in the past 2 months. Fuckin DJ Tiesto
was here in Korea and his party was dope, but HE SUCKED. He
sucked the big one... it was my first time seeing him live
and it was one of the worst live sets I've ever heard from
anyone. Fuckin gay. ATB was here as well, and he was fuckin
AWESOME! Fuckin awesome... I've always been a big fan of ATB,
even though they got overplayed on the radio, and even though
people said he was mainstream and gay... but I always liked him.
But after hearing him live for the first time, it only reinforced
my strong belief that he truely is a great musician, and also
a kick-ass DJ. Dope. Other than that, I finally met a girl I
actually found interest in and am willing to go for the gold,
but find out she's leaving for the US in July... for 4 years.
Just my fuckin luck. I'm cursed... but at least I'm still at
the same job I got 3 months ago, which is the longest I've ever
had a job at one place. I guess teaching English is in my blood.
I can't do it forever though, which is the only thing that
continuously keeps me searching for a new career path. Hehe.

Another entry, another 3 months. I guess I've been doing my
cyworld, this homepage is almost only used for show, and when
I need internet work for a portfolio/resume. I was actually
by someone today, whom reminded me to come and update my
site... hehe... thanks. I did kind of wonder in the back of my
mind if anyone still came here other than me, but I guess
they do. I went to China on a 4 day trip this month from the
10th to the 13th. It was so fuckin awesome. It was so dope,
that I'm very seriously considering moving to China the first
chance I get. For now, I'm trapped at the 1 year lease apt.
and a 1 year work contract (breakable, but not recomended for
future references) at my job. Oh yeah, I'm actually an official
"worker" at a "company." First time paying taxes, too. I now
work for YBM, a company in Korea that does everything that has
to do with English. I wouldn't have said yes, but the branch
that I work for told me I could work witout changing anything
about my external apearance, except shaving. So I said yes.
I can't see myself running into any other companies in Korea
that will accept my current apearance... yet. Oh, China. So
yeah, went on a package tour to Beijing and the surrounding
area. The Great Wall, Tien An Mun square, the palace behind
it, the CCTV Tower, etc. The highlight was however, the totally
dope massages. The foot massages, and the full body massages
blew me away. The cost was fuckin' amazing... like 10bux.
Plus, everything else is cheap, everyone is nice, everything
is big and roomy and spacious and tall and wide... its like
being trapped inthe cage called Soul, and being thrown out
onto an endless plane and grass and happiness. Dope. Oh yeah,
and the 20th was my bday as well. Happy Birthday Me! Hehe.

Wow... haven't written in like, almost 4 months. I just moved
into my new place. It's the first time I'm living totally by
myself in Korea. Pretty dope. Just finished souping shit up.
My life has been pretty chill. Stilling teaching English,
still going to parties, kinda dating this new chick (she's a
Yoga master/aerobics instructor) but we're still just seeing
each other, nothing official... hope everyone is doing good.
In Korea, I'm currently 29, and in less than a month, I'll be
30. The big three-o. Damn... time really does fly.

Thailand was dope, as well as very dull. The beaches, he food,
the sun, the ocean, the laid back life, the suntanning, the
swimming, all these things were dope. However, because I went
with my ex-boss and his wife and 3 year-old son, I didn't get to
go clubbing, any parties, any bars, I didn't get to do any
water sports, no bungee, no paragliding, no parasailing, no
jet-skiing, and... no drinking, no smoking (sniff), no dancing,
no meeting people, no meeting WOMEN, no meeting women, and...
(font size=7)NO MEETING WOMEN ! ! !

but, hte trip was pretty much free for me, so it was all good.
Plus, since I've been there once now, the next time I go it
will be easy riding for me and whoever I go with. Hehehe.
After I got back from Thailand, I chilled for a bit, then
went straight down to Busan for a week trip. More tanning, more
swimming, but this time, there was clubbing, drinking, and lots
and lots of WOMEN! Yay~ So yeah, if you didn't already know,
Busan chicks are WAY hotter than Seoul chicks. Dopeness. I'm
actually considering moving there for abbout 6 months or so.
But we'll see... anyway, that was my summer vacation.

Long time no write. Been really busy doing absolutely nothing.
Hehehe. But, I'm headed for Thailand tomorrow. I was supposed
to go to Australia with my ex-boss as a scout/vacation kinda
trip, but information was gained, and plans have changed. We
are no longer going to Australia, and are just gonna go to
Thailand for a laxed, quiet, EXTREMELY HOT vacation. I've
never been to Thailand, or anywhere else in Southeast Asia,
but from what I hear from people who have been, it's hot as
a mother fucker. Hotter than a flaming chunk of magma straight
from hell. If you know me, even a little, you know that my
ultimate weakness is heat. Can't stand it. It's like mother
fuckin Kryptonite... Can't move, can't talk, can't eat, can't
sleep... but, like they say, sometimes you gotta fight fire
with fire, so I guess I'm about to find out if that shit
really works... for some reason, I highly doubt it... argh.
I am however still excited to go, since I've never been, and
it should all be a new and eye opening experience.

May is almost gone. All I really did was play WoW. Other than
leave the house ONLY on the weekends. Hehe. My computer rocks.
It's fuckin indestructable... so dope. Every program I can
think of runs smooth as silk... no lag, no stall. So dope.
It was Tom's bday on the 24th, happy bday Mooner! It's the
4th bdays (including mine) we have been seperate... sucks, eh?
Anyway, the CD player I have been using since my bday of 2000
has finally broke. It was Tom's bday prez to me, and I've
pretty much used it to death. It just... stopped. So it
is now sitting in my "retired electronics" box. Hehe. So, I
need to buy a new CD player. I think the new ones out these
days are fuckin pretty damn sick. Excited, as well as sad.
Hope everyone had a good May, and hope everyone has a great
Summer of 2005! ^0^

(5:38am)

Just finished playing some WoW. Been playing on the Korean
servers lately. I wanted to play on the US severs as well, but
I don't think you can install 2 versions of WoW (one Korea, the
other US) on one compueter at the same time. I'm still looking
into it, but not sure yet. I'm planning to buya new computer
soon, prolly within the next week, and within the month for sure.
The computer I have in my room right now is dope. It's never
failed me, and has never caused me any problems. I love it to
death, but hey, everything has a time to go, and I guess for my
computer, the time is now. I bought this comp back in August of
2000, as soon as I came back to Korea from the US. It's a P3 800
with 512 memory, 60 gig hard drive, CD-RW, a Soundblaster 5.1,
a GeForce FX (64mb), a 17" perfectly flat, and everything else
is whatever... normal I guess. Anyway, it's been the best freakin
computer I've ever owned, and I hope my next one is HALF as good
to me as this one was for the past 5 years of my life. I'm
planning to get a P4 3.0 gig (or more), at least a gig or ram,
another Soundblaster 5.1 (probably Live), about 200 gigs of hard
drive, a DVD-RW, a 19" perfectly flat (I don't like LCDs...),
and of course, a GeForce FX 256mb graphics card. This should
rock me into the next decade, unless mankind suddenly decides to
fuck me over and come up with a whole new computing system...
but I highly doubt this. I'm very excited for my new computer,
and I hope everyone else is as well. Hehehe... As for me and my
life, well, I'm SO not glad to be back here in Korea, cause I
already miss the freedom and quality of life of North America,
but it is nice to see incredibly hot Korean girls everywhere I
look. It's also nice to go to some real clubs that play real
music, as apposed to Canada and their Goddamned top 40 clubs.
It's also super nice to see my friends again, and the family as
well. I don't plan to work for a couple months, since all I did
in Canada was work, when I was supposed to be on vacation. I
was told by numerous people that Canada had its hottest winter
in 300 years... thats about as long as people knew how to
fuckin forecast weather. Of course it had to be THIS winter that
I chose to go to Canada to snowboard and ski. Argh. Maybe next
time... if there ever is a next time. Anyway, so I plan to just
get some R&R for a bit, and then either go to Japan for a year,
go to Europe, or just find a nice job here and see where that
takes me. I guess I should be on the lookout for a nice girl as
well, since in Korea, I'm already 29... hmm. 30 next year.

Another month has passed... doin the same stuff, working,
playing, etc. Not anything new or special. Well, other than
the fact that I'm in Canada. Hehe. I'm starting to look
forward to going back to Korea. I guess everything has a
point where enough is enough. I will miss this place though.
The freedom, the peacefullness... yeah, it's good to be here.

(8:11am)

Well, I'm finally back in Korea. After being in Vancouver since
the 21st of October, 2004, I feel like things should have been
different when I came back to Korea. Well, so far, nothing feels
different. Hehe. I'm not sure if it's cause I haven't really gone
out yet, but still... I asked the cab driver last night when the
biggest news was right now in Korea, and he said, "the dead pope."
and I was like, "what about stuff about Korea?" Then he said,
"Korea? Nope, nothing interesting about Korea." So yeah, I really
don't think much has changed since I've left.

My current plans are: VACATION. Why am I going on another vacation
when I just got back from one? Well, Vancouver was SO not vacation.
I went, chilled for less than 2 weeks, and started working non-stop
until the day before I came back to Korea, so NOW I'm gonna have my
much needed, well deserved, game filled vacation. Nice.

(4:32pm)

Hello all. Hehe. It's been a while. I haven't had access to
a secure server, so I haven't been able to update this page.
But now I know a way, and so updates should be ok. Well, I'm
still in Canada. Still staying at Tina's place, and working.
Where do I work? I am working at the Van-Tutor Canada (VTC)
English education center. Basically, I teach English to
foreign students who come to Vancouver to learn English.
Most of the students are college students, and most of them
are Korean. The job is alright, but it's funny that I'm even
working right now, since I initially came here on vacation.
The actual reason I came here is to go snowboarding, but
the British Columbia (the province that Vancouver is in) is
having a no-snow winter. Because of this, I have only been
able to go boarding once. I've been here for more than 3
months now, and I've only gone once. The one time I did go,
which was with Tom, Dave, and John, we went to Whistler, but
not even half of the runs were open, and of the ones that
were open, only a few had powder... the rest was ice. The
trip was a lot of fun, and the scenery was sweet, but the
actual skiing was nothing more than I had expected. If not
less. I do hope to go at LEAST one more time, but I'm not
holding my breath, since there doesn't seem to be any more
snow in the near future. I'm planning to go back to Korea
on the 21st of April, so hopefully before then, I'll get a
chance to hit some powder... It's really nice out here.
The weather sucks my fat cock, but the people are really
nice (maybe too nice...), the level of diversity is unreal.
I think it's the most diverse city I've ever been in. There
really doesn't seem to be a minority or majority of race.
Most of the people are laid back, no one is really in a rush
to get anywhere, and the facilities are all fairly good.
Especially for handicap people and elderly people. For a
city with only 2 million people, it sure seems a lot bigger
and developed. They also film a lot of movies out here, so
you see a lot of film crews and celebrities. I have't seen
any famous people, but then again, I don't really know that
many famous people, so whetever. But I hear aboutthem a lot
from the people around me. Anyways, it was good to finally
be able to update this shit again, and hopefully I'll be
able to keep it updated for the rest of the time I'm here.

Liza is coming to Korea tomorrow for some preperations on her
wedding gear. Haven't seen her ass in a long ass time, so it
should be fun. Always good to see an old friends face. In other
news, I'm getting my hair done tomorrow as well. If you don't
already know, my hair is really long now, and its in a big-ass
afro. Because of the uncontrolable status of my hair, I have
decided to change it drastically. I'm getting dread locks.
It's gonna take about 10 hours or so, that's what they said
at the hair place, so tomorrow will be spent all day at the
hair shop. I've always wanted to try it, just to see how it is,
and finally the day has come. It's gonna cost about 300 bux,
which is VERY cheap, cause I got a mad discount since the shop
is right in front of our piercing shop, and the owner knows us.
Anyway, I'm psyched, and also a bit worried, since I don't know
how uncomfortable it will be. But, I'mt sure it'll be better
than my current hair situation... which is just absolute chaos.

(5:35am)

If you don't already know, I'm going to Vancouver, Canada.
I bought my ticket about a week ago, and it's for the 21st of
October. I got it online for W855,000, which is about 800 bux.
Not awesome, but not bad either. It's Singapore Air. I've always
heard good shit about them, but never actually flied it. I hope
they live up to their reputation. Why am I going to Canada?
Well, the number one reason is to get out of Korea. I've been
here non-stop for 4 years and a few months. That's the longest
I've been in one country without leaving the country in my
entire life... well, that I can rememebr at least. I was starting
to go insane. Everything was starting to seem the same, and every
waking moment of my life started to feel like a waste of time.
Yeah, I'm working, but I guess I need to be around and about to
feel like I'm living my life. The second reason for chosing
Vancouver is that I can visit, without any kind of visa, for up
to 6 months. All I need is my passport. The thrid reason, is my
very good friend Tina. She lives and works in Vancouver, and has
invited me to stay at her place during my visit. That gives me a
guide to the city, and place to stay, and someone supercool that
I know, to hang out with. I'm not going to have a great time...
although I prolly will... I'm just going to relax, enjoy some
excellent company, and again, get the hell out of Korea for a
while. I have planned to stay at the very least 6 weeks, if not
more. I'm also taking my snowboard, cause Whistler is only a few
hours away... hehehehe. Anyways, I'm fucking psyched for this
long needed trip, and I feel like a kid again counting the days
go by before my ig phat present can be opened. Yay.

(3:13pm)

Another peacefull Sunday. If you didn't already know, I've been
planning a trip to Vancouver Canada. Why Canada? Well, the main
reason I'm going on a trip in the first place is to get the hell
out of Korea. I've been here WAY too long, and haven't left the
country ONCE since I got here back in 2000. This place is staring
to drive me insane... I need to get out. Canada is the closest
thing to the States, does not require a visa of any kind up to
6 months of stay, and is where my very good friend Tina lives.
She has most greatfully insisted that I stay with her during my
visit, which is another big reason I have chosen Canada. Plus,
I've been to Toronto and Windsor, which is the middle of Canada,
but I've never been to Vancouver. It's also damn close to my Sis,
who is only 2 hours away down in Seatle. I'm planning on leaving
around the 19th or 20th of October, and staying for at least a
month, maybe more, if the situation permits. I'm just glad to be
finally leaving this place for a breather... I really need it.

Watched Alien Vs. Predator last night. Dope, dope, dope. But...
1. it was WAY TOO SHORT. 2. it was PG-13. 3. the main character
was NOT COOL ENOUGH. and 4. it was WAY WAY WAY too SHORT. Other
than that, it was so dope. The final scene with the little baby
alien with the predator face was TIGHT. Hellz yeah. Hehehe...

(6:27pm)

Another Monday, another week. My mom got back from a little
business trip she was on for about 3 weeks. I had the place to
myself, and it was nice. I guess living alone definitely has its
benefits... like being able to hang out naked. And inviting
people over, anytime I want. Of course, living at home with the
moms ALSO has its pluses as well. Grass is always greener...
This weekend sucked. Friday was Club Day, and that sucked,
a lot more than the average Club Day. Saturday was aight, but
nothing special. Thursday my friend came over and we went late
night grocery shopping, which she payed for, then came home,
I cooked up a feast, we ate till we just about started to puke,
turned on a movie and passed out. Woke up, and I cooked up a
monster breakfast, and then we both headed out to work. It
kinda felt like being back in the states. Just chillin with
a friend at home. I don't really do that much anymore, since
the moms is always home, and my place isn't that close...
Anyways, the weather is getting a lot cooler, which is nice.
Hope all is well with everyone else.

(8:02pm)

Today... I have GREAT news, and horrible news as well. I'll start
with the bad news... Yesterday early morning, a friend of mine
found her mother laying on the bathroom floor... she called 119
(Korean 911), but it was too late. She passed away before she
ever reached the hospital. It was a heart attack... I pray for
her soul to find it's place in Heaven, and I pray for my friend,
who is only 23 years old, but has now lost her mother AND her
father. I pray to God that enough has been taken from her. I pray
that she will never have anything else taken away from her until
the final day she leaves this rotten Earth. May God show mercy.
Death is always at the reach of our arms. Always live your life
to the fullest, don't ever put away things you want to do...
there is no such thing as the future. There is only today and
hopefully tomorrow. Nothing in life is guaranteed... especially
tomrrow... love yourself, and live your life... today.

Moving on to better news, Ferry Corsten was here in Korea this
past Saturday. He spun at the COEX Grand Ballroom from 1:30am
to 4:00am. It was the best set I've ever heard him spin, live
or recorded, and it was the best party I've been to this year.
Or last year. The Venue was fuckin huge, but still dark as fuck.
The sound system was kickin, and the lights were tight. The
crowd was totally into the mood, and everyone was loving the
music. The live singer (Miss Motif) rocked the mic to some
sick ass Trance tunes, and Ferry Corsten beat the crap out of
the audience... no mercy. All Trance, all night. Amen.

(12:32pm)

Lisa left for the States on Monday morning... I saw her last year,
probably more than I did this year, but it's always the same when
she leaves... sad and empty. Already miss ya babes~ we had some
good times this year, and I know she spent her summer well. Did
a lot of traveling, met a lot of people, BUT, shouldn't have
stayed as Rosa's place... had to be home by freakin' midnight
most of the time... Which is pretty much when shit starts to get
jumpin' at most of the places I go to. Hehe. But she got to stay
out a couple of times, and I bet those few times were enough to
last her 'till the next time she comes around. Isn't that right?

In other news... ALIENS VS. PREDATOR is coming to Korea on the
9th of October! Honestly, I've waited for this moment to come
for the past 15 years... 15 mother fuckin' years I've waited.
Dreams do, really do, come true, if you dream about it enough.

(2:42pm)

I am so busy... I'm busy all the time. I don't like it because
it's making the days go by so fast... I CANNOT believe it's already
AUGUST! Let's see... been working on a new homepage for my company
for the past 2 weeks, so I've been super busy with that. Lisa is
still here, so I try to see her as much as possible, which is not
enough, and I know this, and I feel bad, but work sucks. Blah.
Anyways, it's super fuckin' hot here in Korea right now. We've
been breakin some pretty old records this year... which fuckin'
sucks... oh, story time. 2 Saturdays ago, me and Lisa Kwak went
to Hongdae to go clubbing on the 24th. We got there, hit 3 clubs,
and had a pretty good time. Lisa however, got SO FUCKED UP, that...
well, I can't really say here, but if you are curious, as to how
the story ends, then ask me in person, or ask Lisa. Hehehe. We
went to Clubday the next Friday, too, on the 30th, but she was a
good girl that night. Plus Rosa was there so no insanity. Fucked
up thing is, this past Saturday, I went to Hongdae with a friend
of mine that I hand't gone clubbing with in more than a year, ALSO
got TOTALLY retarded, and the whole night for me was dejavu of the
Lisa night... HAHAHAHA! It was like rehaving the exact same fuckin
nightmare again, but not being able to wake up. Kekeke~ but it was
fun both nights, even though at the time I wanted to run away.

Lisa Kwak is here, and so are Kodnim and Gowoon. All from IC, all
from West high. Hehe. ALWAYS Good to see old faces. I did get to
Lisa's cutie face last summer, but Kodnim and Gowoon I haven't
seen since around 1997... which makes it the first time seeing
them in 7 years. Unreal. Theyre leaving for the States tomorrow.
Lisa is in Busan right now, but she's coming up today.

I got a new phone. The Samsung SPH-V4400. I was sort of forced to
buy a new phone, since my unkle (Mom's oldest younger brother) is
now working for KTF, we bought a phone from him to help out. It's
a 2.0 Megapixel camera, 2.0 Megapixel camcorder (4 hours), an MP3
player, TV/Movie viewer AND has a memory card slot. Oh, and you
can make calls on it too. Hehe. It's pretty freakin dope.

7/8/04

(1:04am)

Jesus... haven't written in almost a month. I guess I've been pretty
damn busy... to say the least. I went down to Busan for work on the
25th of June with our workers, 5 girls, to teach them the job. We
arrived in Busan on the night of the 25th, found a place to stay,
2 rooms for 6 people, and slept. From the 26th to the 5th of July
we went around busan selling our kits, and drawing henna for cash.
It was the first time for me to do anything like that, so teaching
the workers how to go about doing it was kind of like a student
teaching a student. It was a VERY new experience, living off what
you make that day, not knowing how much you'll make the next day,
and not knowing what you'll be doing the next day... It was fun,
nerve wrecking, interesting, even scary at times. It was also an
incerdible experience for me, since all my life I've been sitting
on a cushion of comfort and security. And for the first time in my
life, I was just kind of floating around... living day by day...
making the hotel fee the day I would be staying there, making my
lunch money a few hours before lunch. Being happy as fuck while
earning my money, and down as hell while we were being turned down
by shop owners and customers. Like the most intense roller coaster
ride of all time. It also made me see how other people lived. People
who lived off the money they made on a daily basis... people on the
streets, people with no homes... people who had odd jobs that only
lasted a few days, and then had to go and find a new job, just to
be able to eat their next meal. Even though I knew I had a home
still waiting for me back here in Seoul, I still felt at times if
I would be able to make that nights hotel fee... or even be able to
pay for my next meal. I went down to Busan with no money other then
the cash in my pocket and a train ticket... one way. Anwyay, I'm
back here in Seoul, and me and my boss have started a new project.
The henna project has been 100% handed off the the worker girls now
since I have trained them so well. Hehe. The new project is gold
belly piercings. This should be as interesting (if not more) than
the henna project, since I will be dealing with... well, a very
uncommon target customer market. If this project works well, I
will finally be making some real money. I guess the henna project
was just kind of like training for me. A trial by fire into the
world of sales and business. I feel I am ready now... let's rock.

Went to Taehwan hyung's son's 1st bday party today. He had it here in
Seoul at the world cup stadium wedding hall. Good food, and it was
dope to see Taehwan hyung and Helen nuna... haven't seen them since
I was in Chicago in 2000. I also met up with Juwan hyung, who also
went to school in Iowa City. Always good to see old faces... makes
you remember the past and reaize that life really does go by way too
fast to be wasting time on stupid shit. Live hard... always hard.

6/09/04

(7:57pm)

Not much new going on. Just working and stuff. No, just working
period. Hehe. Dave left on the 3rd, which seems like a month
ago, but is only about 5 days ago. Lint. I guess he had a pretty
good time, especially considering he hung out with half the chicks
I know. Grr... While I'm stuck here working... like a dog. Ruff.
Nah, I'm just playing. I want all my friends to come and hang
out with my ladies. They're all pretty cool. And cute... hehe.
Oh, it's Taehwan hyungs son's first b-day, and they're having the
party here in Korea. It's this Sunday on the 13th. I'm sure I'll
see old faces I haven't seen in forever. It should be fun.

(2:51pm)

So many people born into the world... and 3 of them were born
in the past 2 days. My sister and Jackie Kang on the 31st, and
my ex-roommate and classmate Hyunyock on the 30th. Happy birthday
to you all, and I wish that I could have been there to slap you
guys on the ass with my own hand, but alas, I am here in Korea.

In other news, well, there is no other news. Hehe. I've just been
working my ass off, and partying on the weekends. So like before
in my dark past, Saturdays have once again become important to me
in that it's pretty much the only night I get to party without
having the constant agony of thinking about waking up the next
day... and working. I also have not been able to play Lineage2,
which is killing me inside. I still think about it all the time,
and sometimes even have dreams about it, but, no time to play.
I do try to play when I have some free time late at night, but
it's not the same... as playing all, day, long. Hehe. Oh well...

5/27/04

(1:20pm)

Time is pretty much flying past me at the speed of light. Each
day seems like the next, and yesterday is the same as the day
before. Is this the life of a working man? Hehe. Well, at least
my Saturday nights are still funfilled, which as of now is
enough for me. Plus seeing money grow in my bank account is also
fun in its own perverted way. I have also found someone new in
my life. Nothing special yet, but just someone that interests me
and I enjoy spending time with. Her working hours are similar
to mine, which makes it that much more easier to meet up.
Since I'm way oo busy to be out looking for girls, I am very
pleased to have had someone just kind of walk right up to my
doorstep willing to be my friend. I have also realized from
working that when people make excuses that they cant hang out
because of work, it's not an excuse, it's true. Hehe.

A special birthday wish to my brother in Chicago Tom.
Happy 29th bro, wish I was there to tell you in person.

5/16/04

(8:42pm)

Dope weekend. Kyunglan invited me to go see the opera Carmen,
which I've been waiting to see for a while, but had too much
work to do, so had to give the ticket away to a friend. Fuck.
But, my friend had a good time watching it, so it was better
than nothing. Plus, she now owes me dinner. Hehe. So got off
work, and went to Hongdae for a party at a club called Cosmo.
The outside setup was like Crobar. A line and lights and stuff.
Brought back mad memories. So yeah, went inside, and it was
two floors, top floor disco/funky house, and bottom floor was
breaks and progressive shit and trance. Pretty good music all
night, MAD hotties... yeah, like everywhere. Got to see some
faces I haven't seen in a long time, and an overall good night.
Hope everyone else had a good weekend as well. Working sux.

5/7/04

(8:44pm)

Just got my first business cards! They look sick as hell.
Royal Pearl Blue with Silver imbeaded text. To tight... yeah.
I'm putting up pix of it on my page, so check it out if you
don't believe me... I kinda don't believe it myself. Hehe.
Oh yeah, I also moved out of my Mom's pad on the first of this
month. It's an Officetel (office + hotel, a Korean thing, don't
ask, I don't know eiher...) that's 50% my new place, and 50%
our new office. Got a new office number as well. Dope.
Lataz

5/6/04

(2:09pm)

We moved into our new office a bit ago. I work here now, and
sleep either here, at the boss's place, or at home. Whatever
the situation sees fit. Dave Min is here, but I don't really
see him much since I'm so fucking busy, but he's been busy
hanging out with my chick friends out here. Hehe. As for me,
I only play on Saturday night, and every other night is work
and/or Lineage 2. This weekend is supposed to be a bigass
outdoor party downtown Seoul. Should be pretty good. Bunch
of my friends are spinning so I'm pretty psyched, as are they.
Hope everyone has a good weekend as well. Party on...

4/23/04

(10:20pm)

Still just workin my ass off. Hehe. I guess it's not as
easy as I thought it was to start a new company from scratch.
I just put in the final order for the "parts" we need for our
kit, and once everything arrives, we're in business. I think
I'm going to China early May to check up on some products we
ordered. Custom made aluminum briefcases for our kits. It's
the biggest and most expensive order we made, so we decided
to go and make sure it's all in good shape before they send it
out. Better safe than sorry. So I guess I'll be going to China
for the first time in my life, but I won't be able to do any
sight seeing or touring. Just go, business, and come back the
next day. That's life... but hey, at least I get to say I've
been to China... hehehe. Why that's funny to me? Not sure.

4/17/04

(1:20am)

Still~ going! Hehe... It's Saturday. Get to go party tonight.
Theres a Breakbakery (breakbeat DJ clan) party tonight, so it
should be a good night. Although my right foot hurts, so I
prolly won't be able to dance much. But at least the music
will be tight. Oh yeah, I saw The passion of christ. I
don't really know what to say about it, other than that
it's the most graphic movie I've ever seen. I personally
love graphic violence, but this shit was just whacked out.
At one point, I kinda lost the point of the story... Mel
Gibson needs help. Hmm... I think I need to start looking for
some new chicks... starting to feel like I'm becoming a
prude... which is no good. No good at all. Now that I'm
making money, need to find somewhere to spend it. HAHAHA!
Have a dopeass weekend everyone!
Lataz

4/11/04

(11:40am)

I feel like the fucking Energizer rabbit... hehe. But the
company is starting to find its way. I went out to party
for the first time in a month. Went to 4 clubs in Hongdae.
It was pretty fun. Gonna go out again next weekend... hehe.

3/30/04

(12:20am)

Damn... 20 days since I've written. Went by so damn fast. I'm
working now. I'm helping a friend start a new business. We're
gonna make and sell... well, it's a secret for now, but if it
goes the way we planned, then we'll be making some serious
cash. Fingers crossed and working hard. I work Monday through
Saturday, 11am to 10pm. Pretty intense. Oh, and it was bday
on the 20th. I got some cool presents, but one of them was a
new pet snake! My other one died in the hospital, but this
one is just as cool. I also got a set of dopeass colored
hair gel from my sweetcheex Lisa Kwak. So dope babes! I'm
already usin them and lovin it. Hehe. I'll prolly be busy
as fuck for the next couple months, but then hopefully when
things start to get settled down, I'll have some free time.
But until then, work, work, work! Saturday night is dope.

3/10/04

(10:10am)

Went boarding again this past weekend. Went to Vivaldi Park.
It was without a doubt the best ski trip I've gone one this
year... actually, the best trip since the winter of '01 - '02.
It had snowed like a mother fucker a couple days before we got
there, so the snow conditions were excellent. Because of the
intense snowfall, no one was there. Thus, there was no lift
waiting time, and the slopes were clear and empty. The weather
was dope as well. If that was my last boarding trip of the year
then I was pretty fuckin satisfied. But, I'm still gonna wait
for more snow, and some chilly weather. Never give up... hehe.
Oh yeah, and the trip was even better then ever since it was
the fisrt time I used my new gear! Hellz yeah. Dopeness. Dope.
Lataz

3/2/04

(8:45pm)

Hehe. Bought new snowboarding gear yesterday. I got the Salomon
Forcast deck, Burton Custom bindings, and Burton Ion-HD boots.
Here's a pic...

... gonna hit the slopes this weekend. So psyched to be using
my own gear... sick of fuckin' rentals. I hope it's not, but
this weekend might be the end of the '03-'04 ski season. If
it is, then life will suck for another 8 months. Damn. Hehe.

Oh, and I just did a huge picture update. Lots of new pix!
Lataz

2/22/04

(5:41pm)

Well, got back from yet another snow boarding trip. I'm gettin
pretty good now. I can hit all the intermediate slopes, with
out much effort, and I can go down some of the easier upper
level slopes, with a bit of effort. I don't really fall anymore
except while dodging people or just being careless. I'm gonna
try to go as much as I can before the season is over... maybe
2 more times... hopefully 3, but doubtfull. Just gotta pray
for more snow and colder weather... Both would be even better.
Lataz

2/13/04

(6:42am)

Got back from snowboarding last night. Just went for one night
shift. No sleeping. It was my second time boarding, but my
fisr time in more than a year... I can turn now. Hehe. For
those of you who have never snowboarded, being able to turn
after 2 hours of snowboarding is pretty fuckin dope. Oh yeah.
Going again this weekend. Hope it's a good time. Hehehe.
Lataz

2/9/04

(4:05am)

Got back from skiing last night. So dope. There were so many
fuckin people I had to wait at least 10-20 minutes each time
getting on any of the lifts, the slopes were fuckin PACKED
with people, but I still had a dope time. Went with a group
of people that live in my neighborhood (online group) and it
was me, 2 guys, and 11 girls. Granted, most of the girls were
not anywhere near pretty, but, I'd rather be with 11 girls
than 11 guys anyday of the week. Hehe. Skiied all Saturday,
drank till 3am, then skiied Sunday morning, packed up and came
home. Going again next weekend with a nother group of people
that live in my neighborhood (different online group), so
I hope that turns out to be a fun time as well. I'm thinking
of going boarding next weekend... 14th to the 17th... hehehe.
Hope everone had a good weekend~

2/4/04

in Hongdae with Phil. Hehe. And Monday too... pretty fun. =)

1/27/04

(7:27pm)

Picked up my brand new passport yesterday. Yay! Hehe. Friday
was Arny's (friend that goes to Yonsei) B-day party. We just
drank at Zen, and when everyone was too fucked up and all
went home, I began my night (hehe) at Hongdae. Went to club
COD for the first time, and Seungjoo hyung (DJ Ahn) was there
spinngin Trance, so I had an unexpected fun night. After COD
closed, me and Seungjoo went to get some grub, then I came
home. Saturday was Lineage 2 day with Jihoon. Sunday was
a farewell party for my friend Jimmy (Yonsei, going back to
Belgium), again at Zen. After Zen, me and Phil went to Hong
dae to see what was up. We went to Matmata. We got free
shots the whole time we were there from DJ Yunjoon, AND he
played Trance till closing jsut for little old me~ hehehe.
After that we came back to my place, ate, crashed, woke up
late, ate, chilled, ate, and then Phil went home. Hehe.

I'm not sure why I forgot to mention this earlier, but, I
finally got new shades to replace the Red Oakley Eye Jacket 2.0
I got stolen last Summer. I picked them up on the 11th of
January, right before going skiing. I got the Black X-metal
Romeo's. They are tight as fuck, and a bit less "loud" than
my old ones. Hehe. Anyway, I love them, and they love me, too.

1/24/03

(4:46pm)

Its the first day of the 4336th year of the history of Korea.
Bet you didn't know THAT did you? Hehe. I actually went to
a bar called Zen (Phil goes there every fuckin' night) last
night to celebrate Arny's birthday. Surprisingly, of the
numerous times I've been in and out of that place, last
night was the first time I actually had fun. Not sure why,
just did. Hehe. Gong to Hongdae tonight for a party at COD.
Oh, and Happy Lunar New Year everyone~!

1/19/04

(5:59pm)

Well, went skiing about a week ago. I went with my nail shop nunas.
It was a good trip. I went free (didn't pay a damn penny) and just
tought the nunas the basics of skiing. It's been snowing a good
amount her in Korea, so I'm gonna try to go as much as I can
this year, since I only got to go once last year. I finally got
my mother fucking passport. Hehe. Dopeness. Now gotta apply for
a US travelers visa. Let's hope that works out. (fingers crossed)
I also got the tunnels on my ears expanded from 3mm to 4mm. It
hurt a bit, but I'm happy. Hope everyone is having a good new year.
Lataz

1/10/04

(12:21am)

The first of entry of the year... kinda late, but not much has really
happened in the past week and some. The new years eve party was, well,
it was big. Ok, it was huge. It was at the Sheraton Walker Hill. I'm
not 100% sure, but I think there was about 6000 people there. It was
a Carl Cox show. I've never really liked Carl Cox, and this party
didn't change my mind. The music sucked, but the lighting dope as
fuck. The sound system kicked my ass, but since the music was bad, it
didn't really matter. It was open bar until about 2am, so I drank a
bit as well. The bad music, plus the bad beer (I don't like Heinekin)
gave me a headache. The worst part (or the highlight) of the night
was the fact that I counted down the last seconds of 2003 in line.
Yup, in line. I got to the party at about 10:30pm, thinking I was a
bit early... then ended up in line to get in for 2 hours. 2 fucking
hours in line... christ. But I got in free, which was nice. Tickets
were 60 bux, and if I had to pay 60 bux to stand in line for the final
countdown, heads would have rolled. The party eneded, and I headed
straight home. No after party, no chilling out, just home. The trip
home was just one big headache... I'm not big on superstition, but if
the first day of the new year is asign of how the rest of the year
is gonna be, then well, I'm pretty fucked for 2004. Hehe. Whatever.

12/28/03

(7:20am)

Sunday morning. Got home about half an hour ago from a party in Apgu.
There weren't very many people, but my DJ Muga and Airekama played me
some dope Trance, so I had a good time. Well, lot's to say, so here
goes. On the 20th, the BT party rocked my world. The place wasn't all
that, and the lighting was kinda gay, but BT played some kickass tunes
which were mostly compiled of breakbeats, which was a very unexpected,
but very nice surprise. At the end of his set, he rocked the house
with a bunch of encore tracks, which were all his own tunes. Hearing
Flaming June blasting from the speakers, hearing the crowd go insane
and seeing BT standing at the decks was pretty fuckin awesome. Yup.
The following Sunday, BT threw a surprise (unanounced) little mini
party at Club Cargo. I was sitting at home, when my my DJ friend
calls me at about 11:00pm saying "hey, come to cargo, BT's here and
he's gonna spin soon. I got to cargo a bit past midnight, and sure
enough, BT was standing around with the people there drinking and
dancing and talking like he was just another dude. Dope. and at about
1:30am, he jumped up on the booth and started to rip shit up with
more tight ass breaks... he even did a bit of battling with the
resident DJ Tak, whom will be having wet dreams for a while. He spun
for about 2 hours, then gave the tables to his friend, but was a bit
of a dissapointment. The friend played mostly weird house, or punk.
I ended up getting BT's autograph on a poster and my ticket, and we
talked a bit about music... yeah, me and BT chillin' hehe. Lint. anyway,
so that was that. For Christmas, I just went to a couple clubs that
were having parties in Hongdae, but nothing big. I'm hanging out with
my ex again, but now we're officially just friends so it's all good.

12/17/03

(1:55am)

Well, been teaching some new students. Today was day 2. It's 2 little
overwight twins with glasses. 3rd graders. They're funny. Hehe. So
yeah, not much going on. Been going to Hongdae again lately. Almost
twice a weekend now. No really good parties lately, so not much other
choice. However, hehe, this Saturday, the 20th, is BT live in Korea.
Oh yeah, so fuckin' psyched. It's been SO LONG since I've been to a
good session~ gyat dayam! It's goona be SO DOPE. *ROUGH ROUGH* Hehe.
Oh yeah, still working on my passport... takin' so damn long...

12/08/03

(12:29am)

Ok, let's see... Well, this weekend was aight. It was Sue Hyun's b-day
on the 4th, and she had a party last night in Hongdae. I also met up
with a really old friend of mine from elementary school Soojung, cause
she wanted to introduce me to one of her single girlfriends... hmm...
well, the friend was nice, but not my style. Oh well, maybe next time.
Still working on my passport. The paper work should be done by the
end of this week... gotta hurry... it's taking WAY too long... grrr.
Lataz

11/28/03

(1:41am)

I guess I've been pretty lazy about writing here... I'll do better.
So my mouth is almost completely healed. I still can't comfortably
chew with my molars, but started eating normal food yesterday. Dope.
I'm still working on my passport, been teaching some of my Dad's
students English, been doing some home improvement, but mostly just
chilling. I need to hurry up and get that damn passport... grrr...

11/13/03

(5:21pm)

Just got back from the Yonsei hospital. Got All my wisdom teeth pulled
out this morning. I was first numbed up with some kind of gas that
made me feel woozey, then they started injecting me with more shots,
most likely novicane, about 10 shots total I think, which was pretty
fuckin' painful. Then they started crushing up my teeth and pulling
out the pieces. The actual process didn't hurt at all. But after the
novicane wore off, it started to hurt, so I got some more shots to
ease the pain. Then I came home. They gave me 2 pills of codine, but
I haven't taken them yet. I'm sure I will soon... But anyway, it's
over and I'm glad it's done with. One less thing to worry about for
the rest of my life. Hehe... oh yeah, I look like a chipmunk.

11/03/03

(2:45am)

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! Thursday I went to a party out in
Samsung-dong at a steak house. It was big, and a lot of people, but the
party itself kinda sucked. I went with my friend Eunjung and some of
her friends. We ended up leaving early and just drinking at a small
bar in the neighborhood. Then Friday was Club Day at Hongdae. Phil
had never been to a Club Day, so I took him and some of his Yonsei
classmates. They now know why I avoid Club Day. However, considering
it was Club Day, I actually had a pretty good time. And there was a
Trance DJ at M.I. that I'd never seen before, annd he spun a pretty
damn good set. Then Saturday Me and Phil went to a party at the Cube.
It was a Hip-hop and Breakbeat party, but the Breaks didn't start
until almost 2:30am. Before the party, we met up with Sophia Peng
from umich, who was visiting from Japan. While we were outside waiting
we met these 2 Japanese girls that were also in the Yonsei program.
Inside, we ended up sitting with them, and we all shared a cab back to
Shinchon, then split up. They seemed really cool, so we planned to
meet up with them again. The party was pretty weak, since the first
4 hours was all hip-hop. By the time the Breaks started, we were
kinda sick of waiting, so we left about 30 minutes into the set.
Today I met up with Suejean from umich. She's back in Korea after
finishing up school at Harvard. We saw 'Once upon a time in Mexico.
Nothing special, but entertaining. Then I went to Shinchon to meet
up with Phil and the 2 Japanese girls, but the one I was talking to
on Saturday didn't show up, so I just came back home. How sad...
But, we planned to meet up soon, so it's all good. It's Monday once
again. Hope everyone has a great week, and gets plenty of rest for
the coming weekend that will be full of fun and excitement! Right?

10/28/03

(6:21pm)

Guess who I met up with here in Korea? Hehe... Criteeqo! (aka Phil Lee)
He's here doing the Yonsei KLI program for 6 months. I guess he got to
Korea about 2 weeks ago. I met with him on Saturday in Shinchon, went
to his friend Yanna's apt to drink, then to a bar called Zen, then to
Hongdae Myungwulgwan and Matmata. Stayed till closing, and the came
over to my place and spent the night. We hung out again last night for
a bit, then went our own ways. First time I've seen him since April of
2003... hasnt changed other than the fact that he's bald as my ass.

10/22/03

(7:02pm)

Where to start... as you can see, it's been almost 2 months since I've
written my thoughts here. Where was I? Well, for those of you who know
what happened, I'd like to keep it personal, so try to forget about it,
put it in the past, and let's move on. For those of you know don't know
what happened, let's just say I took some time off... kind of went into
hiding to get away from the world. Did a lot of thinking, did alot of
looking back on life, and did a lot of planning my life ahead. It was
a well awaited and much needed break, but I'm also glad to be back.
I've made a lot of pretty big decisions towards my future, and I hope
they all work out as planned. It's almost the end of the year. I plan
to make this coming 2004 the best year of my life... again.

8/31/03

(2:31am)

Just got back from a 77 meeting. Hehe. Aways, yeah, I bought new
headphones. Pioneer HDJ-1000. They are sick as hell. But it forced
me to retire my old headphones, which Tom got me for Christmas back
in '99. I used them literally almost everyday... without a doubt the
best Christmas present I have yet to recieve. Thanx again bro. You
da man. I've been wanting to get these new headphones since this past
January, but haven't had the chance or the money, but my sister helped
me out a bit on the purchase, and made it happen. Thanx Chunga! Hehe.
So yeah, my new headphones are kickin', and they're making my travels
around Seoul a pleasure and a half. Of course, I'm still using the
CD player Tom also got me for my birthday back in '99 as well. Still
the coolest CD player I've seen around. Dopeness... Oh, and I'm
still not talking to my girlfriend. I guess at this point, it's
pretty safe to say I'm single again. 2 weeks without a phone call? Yes.

8/25/03

(9:45pm)

Lisa has gone back to the States. She left on the 23rd, this past
Saturday. How sad... It was fun having her around, just hanging out
and stuff. Made me feel almost like I was back in Iowa... well, it
was fun while it lasted. Hope you had a good time Lisa~ I'll see you
again soon. My sister, Mark and I went to Duggie Dong today for some
outlet shopping. Always a good deal out there. Got me a couple new
shirts as well. I'm kinda having some issues with my girlfriend right
now... we are on a "break." Whatever the fuck that means. It was her
idea, but I guess I'm the one really enforcing it. Doesn't seem right
for her (or anyone) to say things she doesn't mean. If she's regretting
her idea, well, that's just too bad. Me, well, I'm fine. Kinda nice
to have time for myself again to hang out with my friends and family.
Anyways, I'm not sure how this whole thing is gonna end up, but it was
a good learning experience for me. I leanred that not all girls do
and say what the really mean, and also do and say things they mean in
no way. Me? I always say what I mean, and I don't support mind games
or bullshitting in anyway. It should be illegal... yeah, definitely.

8/21/03

(1:02pm)

I've been busy... hehe. Lisa has been in Korea for about 3weeks, and
she is leaving tomorrow. We have been hanging out pretty much any time
she gets free time, but she has been pretty damn busy with all her
teaching stuff. Today is her last day, and she leaves tomorrow at
around 1:00pm. It was good spending time with her again, especially
since there was a gap of time where she was avoiding the world, so I
feel like it's been longer than it actually has, from when she was
here back in the winter of '01 - '02. Jihoon is out, but he's going
back to base today. John is supposed to come to Korea sometime soon,
early September i think. Then Dave should be following shortly after
that. That's that about that. I'm kinda having problems with my new
girlfriend. She wants to take a break, cause she thinks we've been
spending too much time together... I don't take "breaks." If you ask
me, it's already over... but who knows? there's always a first for
everything, right? Hmm... yeah, we'll see how it ends up. Blah.

8/6/03

(1:33am)

Met up with Lisa today. We met in Apgu, had dinner with her friend
that lives in Korea but knew in Iowa City. After dinner we went to
a bar and had Mango Soju, then another friend of the friend of Lisa
came. Drank some more, then split up. Now I'm playing Lineage 2 again.
Hehe. I'm telling you... this game is so fuckin crazy. I'm hooked.

7/29/03

(10:38pm)

Watched T3 yesterday... it was a good movie, but just not what I had
expected. Compared to T2, it was pretty lame. But, it was entertaining
nonetheless. I actually went to a Trance party this Saturday, which was
actually a lot better than I had expected it to be. Plus I rolled for
the first time since new years eve... which was more than seven months
ago. I guess that made it a lot better as well. Hehe. Oh, I'm trying
(still) to refill the empty gap my old Oakleys left me, and I have
finally chosen a pair I like. But, they are kinda expensive... yeah.
So I've been trying to figure out a way to get some extra cash to buy
them... I guess my paycheck will do, but that's not for another whole
month... blah. And, there's some kind of beach party this coming
Saturday night. It's supposed to be a rave party, on the beach. I'm
not 100% sure, but I think it's the first time something like this is
being held in Korea, so I'm gonna try to go. Kinda far, but still
gotta at least try. Plus it's free. Hehe. So yeah, I'll try to make it
out to that, maybe get some good pix too. I do have a few good new
pix I'm trying to put up, but can't seem to get my hands on a scanner.

I'm at work right now. It's lunch time. Well, it was lunch time, now
I gotta go teach some more soon. So yeah, I'm a teacher once again.
This time it's litle kids. The 4 year olds are pretty damn cute, the
5 year olds are kinda ok, but the 6 year olds are annoying. Once
again I have proven to myself that I really do dislike childern, but
enjoy babies and infants. Hehe. Lineage 2 rocks the world~! Uh!

(1:34am)

Got back from my 3day trip to the beachand mountains out in Sok-cho.
Thats where Mt. Surak is. I went with my girlfriend, her friend
Jihye, and her boyfriend. We took the boyfriends car (Lexus IS300)
so we saved some money on transportation. The first day we stayed at
a Condo, went bike riding, went to a water park, ate well, and went
to bed early. The second day we stayed at a Hotel (supposed to be a
5 star, but to me was a 3.5) called the Kensington, went to a small
amusement park, went banana boating, ate well, and went to bed early.
The last day we woke up late, did some shopping, ate well, and came
back to Seoul. It was a lot cooler than we had expected, and was
totally uncrowded, which for me was the best part of the trip. Joy~
Oh, and I'm gonna go try out a job from the 23rd to the 25th to see how
it is, and if I like it, I'm gonna start working there. We'll see...

(5:11pm)

Lineage II is rocking my world. It's a new online MMORPG game made by
NCSoft. It's a Korean company. I think it's one of the best online
games I've ever played... or seen. Anyways, it's driving me insane.
Hehe. In a good way of course. Oh, and I'm going on a little trip to
the beach for 3nights/4days. It should be pretty... hectic, to say the
least. It wasn't my idea to go during the most busy time of the year,
but my girlfriend REALLY REALLY wants to go now, so we go now. ust
this once, and never again... well, gotta go play more Lineage II.

Happy 4th of July everyone. No one really celebrates it here, cause
ours is on the 15th of August. So yeah, put up a couple new pix,
and also started getting emails from people who need to be taught
some English. I posted an online add, and well, I guess it works.
But we'll see how it goes. Hehe. As for my everyday life, well, just
loving life. I think I could live like this forever... yeah, for sure.
But, that would be bad, so like I said, I've been looking for some
students on the internet to teach and make some money off. Nice.

(9:08pm)

Oh my god. Best set I've heard live OF ALL TIME. Yup. The best. Johan
Gielen officially rocked my world. My voice is gone. It hurts when I
swallow my own spit. But it's all good. Like getting spanked by a hot
babe on the beach with a canoe oar... or something like that. So yeah,
the party itself was pretty damn good too. It was at the Sheraton
Walker hill. The lighting was awesome, the sound system was flawless.
Zero distortion with volume to liquify your brain cells. I don't really
like the set up of the room that they use at the Walker hill, but hey,
sacrifices must be made. He spun a 3and a half hour set, and I didn't
sit, piss, shit, or even stop dancing for one second. It was unreal.
It's a night I will remember forever... definitely forever. Airscape...

It's Friday. Which means Saturday is tomorrow. Which means Johan Gielen
is coming tomorrow. Which means the dopest party of the year (so far)
is gonna be jumpin and rockin my litle world. Joy~ Can't wait. There is
also some Mondo Grosso party (concert?) tonight. Some Japanese group
that's supposed to be famous or something. I'm only going cause my
musically un-inclined girlfriend wants to go. Argh. Personally I think
it's a waste of money, but sacrifices must be made. Nice? Who me?

Damn, I'm getting really bad about writing... hmm. Anyway, this past
week was pretty cool. Wednesday was my Mom's Father's bday, and my
Dad's Mother's bday. Lunch with grandma and dinner with grandpa. Saw
lots of family relatives that I hadn't seen in years, so it was pretty
nice to do that. I haven't really been talking about parties much in
the past month or so, and that's not because I haven't been going to
any, it's because the one's I've been going to have been sucking pretty
bad, in which case, I feel no need to talk about. I've been consistant
in trying to go to every major party, since my theory is that here in
Korea, every 10 parties I go to, one of them is really good. So the
more parties I go to, the more good parties I'll be enjoying. Odd, but
true. And speaking of dope parties, oh yeah, ever heard of Johan Gielen?
Yeah, Airscape. Well, he's spinning here on the 28th, so that should be
a dopeass party for sure. Hehe. Nice. Pretty psyched for that one.

(3:27am)

Long time no write. Nothing much has been happening to me. Yesterday
I met up with Jackie who is in town for business. We had dinner, did
some shopping, and had some coffee. Then we went to the Hilton where
she is staying, checked out her phat ass room, and then hit the bar
downstairs. For people who know Pharao, it's gone now. It has become
a sprots bar. How sad... had some good times there back in the day.
There was even a PVD party there a while back. But now it is no more.
Let's see, other than that, just been living day by day. Enjoying my
freedom, and lots of free time. I've been looking around for some
tutoring jobs to fill the time before I start a real job, but so far
I've been kinda lazy about the whole thing. Gotta get on track if I
wanna make enough money for my Europe trip. So wish me luck. Fighting!

(9:54pm)

I'm at home right now. It's Friday night. There are 2 parties going on
tonight, but I don't think I'm gonna be going to either of them. First,
I hurt my back last night... it still hurts... can't dance with pain.
Second, I'm kinda running low on the flow, and if I wanna go to the
bigger party which is tomorrow, then I shouldn't spend it on tonight.
I just finished making some signs to advertize myself as a teacher
to maybe get some students in the apt bulding I live in. Location.
We'll see how that goes. I was also offered a job at a video game
making company, but I'm not sure if that's what I wanna be doing,
and another job offer at a kids school that teaches only in English.
But they don't need me until July... so, until anything new comes up
I think I'm just gonna do some private tutoring. Lint.

Oh yeah, and it was my best bro Thoman Moon's B-day on the 24th.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BITCHASS! Hope you're enjoying your new ride!

I'm in Ansan right now... at Joohee's friends place. The friend lives
with 3 dogs, so her place is kinda like a zoo... hehe. Got here last
night, and just been hanging out watching videos, eating, and just
relaxing... it's really nice out here, quiet, but yet civilized. This
place reminds me a lot of the suburbs of Chicago... but yeah, I'm at
a PC bang right now just playing games and stuff. Didn't go to any
parties this weekend... cuase there weren't any. Hehe. But this coming
weekend has 2, so more fun for me. Oh, and Jihoon was out for this past
weekend as well. Always good to see my bro. He's back inside now...
says he might be coming out again next month. Oh yeah... hehehe...
and I saw Matrix Reloaded opening day here in Korea. Uhm, yeah. Can
you say, best movie of the year? Hmm... yeah, no question. If you have
not seen it yet, then see it ASAP. If you have already seen it, then
go fuckin' see it again... I for fuckin sure am. Dopeness.

5/21/03

(2:10am)

Went on a trip this past weekend. It was with a bunch of Heaven peeps
to a private cabin out in the country side. It was fuckin dope. We
went boating, banana boating, tubing, sort of swiming, lots of good
eating, and lotsa getting fucked up. Hehe. It was only for one night
but still mad fun. Hope to go on another one sometime soon. As for me
and my life, it's kinda at a pause. Nothing really happening. The job
I had teaching is kinda over, cause the place I was teaching at went
out of business... t was a vanture company, and that's what happens
to venture companies. So I'm now once again jobless, so I'm thinking
of looking for some private teaching jobs. To fill the gap in my life
for the time being... been spending most of my time with my new found
girlfriend, so time has been going by pretty fast. Sleep in the day,
play at night. It's nice to live in Seoul and not have to constantly
be around so many people. Hehe. Still trying to get some new shades...

Today is the first day of my new relationship. This is my first real
relationship since 1999 which was with Cindy Hwang, God bless her soul.
So yeah, her name is Joohee, and I met her at the Club Heaven Cafe.
We've been hanging out since the 20th of April, which was the second
time we ever met, but the first time we actually hung out. The first
date lasted about 24 hours. Yeah, 24 hours. So now we are officially
going out. feels weird o say that I have a girlfriend now. I still
don't think it has hit me yet. But I'm sure it will soon. So, my
single days are over for the time being. I've been single for so long
I feel like I'm gonna have to get used to not being able to mack on
every hot girl I see... how sad. Hehe. But, I'm not a cheater, so I
will stand my ground and be strong. And since it's been so long since
I've had a girlfriend, I think I'm gonna be pretty good to her. At
least I hope I will be able to. Good luck me. Another chapter begins
in the life of me and my quest for the ultimate girl. Sorry... hehe.

5/11/03

(3:40pm)

Friday was the opening party for a hiphop club called nb2. It was gay
since I don't really like hiphop. But the interior was nice and new,
and it was cool and clean. Saturday was the DJ Rap party. It was out
at the Sheraton Walker Hill. The party was pretty good. It was all
Drum and Bass, but the place was huge, and there were a lot of people,
and the decorations was pretty tight. DJ Rap was aight. She played
some tight tracks, but like I say all the time, more than 4 hours of
non-stop D&B is just too much for me. Here's a flyer of the party...

The party was almost over at about 4:00am, but one of my friends
wanted to stay and gamble a bit, so we stayed an extra hour, and then
left to grab a bite to eat. I got home at about 7:00am. Lint.

5/8/03

(6:51am)

Today is Parents Day and Buddha's birthday in Korea. Which makes it a
national holiday. Which meant I partied last night. Went to a party
at a club in Hongdae called Joker Red, but the music was weird (was
supposed to be Trance) and there way too many people. So we went to
MWG. it was Wednesday, so weekeday, so no cover. We got there around
11:00pm or so, and the music was seriously whatever. And we were the
only table in the whole club. That's how it started of course. By
1:00am, the place was totally jumping for a Wednesday. Mad people.
The guy to girl ratio was about 2:5... dope. Anyway, so I'm still
kinda just chilling, when suddenly this girl DJ I've never seen gets
up on the booth and starts rockin the mother fucking house. Trance.
Really really GOOD Trance. So good I asked for 2 of the track names.
I danced my ass off. And then another bolt right on the head... the
next DJ again started to rock my world with some tight ass breakbeats.
I had to seriously ask myself where I was every song or 2 cause the
music was so fucking good. Again, danced my ass off. I'm almost 100%
sure it's the most I've ever danced, and hardest I've ever danced, and
the best music I'd ever heard on a Wednesday night. Yeah, I'm sure.
This will be a night to remember for me, and it is also the start of
me getting on good terms with 2 new DJs. Hehe. And MWG of course.

5/5/03

Today is Children's day in Korea. Which makes it a national holiday.
Friday was a Hip-hop party at the Ritz-Carlton. DJ A-Trak came and did
a show. It was aight. I mean, he was good, but the party was whatever.

Saturday was a Satoshi Tomie party at the Grand Intercontinental at the
Coex. Dope ass party. Interior was so fuckin sick. The concept was red
and red it was. And there were these dancers on these hyper elevated
stages, and on the highest one was this one dancer, and OH MY GOD.

Without a single doubt in my mind, she was the best dancer I've seen
since I've come to Korea. Better than the Crobar chicks. Yikes. So
I spent most of time dancing while staring at her. Just watching her
made my body get into the groove. Plus the music was hella good as
well. Since the DJ was a no-namer (to me) I expected nothing, but had
a fuckin awesome night. Oh, and I got my right ear pierced Thursday.

Whew... what a week. Goddamn. Let's see, 24th I just hung out and went
to a couple clubs in Hongdae with Joohee, then 25th was club day, which
as always was packed beyond belief, but we bounced through 6 clubs.
26th was a party at Heaven, which I got to very late due to a fuck up
in my bus taking ablities. After the party we went to Mike's place
since his parents were out of town. Got up on Sunday the 27th at like
9:00pm, hung out, and slept there again. Got up early Monday morning
at like, 7:30am, and left this place, came home, then went to Shinchon
for some shopping. Came home last night, and immediately crashed. It
was my first time sleeping at home since LAST SATURDAY. Hehe. Messed.
Jihoon got out today, but he's on his way to Jejudo right now. He'll
be back tomorrow, so I'll prolly see him then. I'm kinda dating this
girl, nothing official, but she's mad cool. I've pretty much spent
the last week hanging out with her, almost non-stop, and it's been
fun. Funny thing is, I've only KNOWN her for the last week. Hehe.

4/23/03

(3:16am)

Just got home. Boy do I have some shit to say today... I'll start by
saying that I have lost my red Oakleys... and it is without a doubt
one of the saddest things that has happened to me since I can even
fuckin remember. *sigh* So anyway, I went on a date that lasted for
about 24 hours... yeah, 24 hours. I met up with Joohee at about 11:00pm
on Saunday evening. We went into a coffee shop and talked for a while.
Then at about 1:00am, we heaeded to Dongdaemoon to catch a movie. The
tickets were for 3:40am, so we shopped until it started. We watched
Solaris, which was good for me, but I don't recomend it unless you
really, REALLY like Sci-fi. That ended at 5:30am, so then we went to
her neighborhood to eat, but everthing was closed, so we went to a
PC bang (see below). We came out at 12:30pm on the 21st, so Monday.
We had lunch, and then she went home to change. Then we went to the
hospital in Shinchon for my leg, and that ended at like, 5:00pm. Then
we went to go eat dinner, and then took some sticker pix, and then
went to a coffee shop at about 7:00pm. We stayed there and talked until
about 11:00pm, and then she went home, as did I. That was officially
the longest date I have ever been on. For sure. So when did I lose my
shades? On the way to her house after eating lunch. So it was about
1:30pm on the 21st of April, 2003 that my shades were lost. Since
I no longer have shades, I guess I'll be buying new ones sometime soon
so be ready for some kickass Oakleys on my head. Yeah, definitely.
Today, I met with a dongseng, had pasta, and watched Cradle 2 the
Grave. It was good. Then I went to Shinchon and met up with Kyunglan
and some of her friends at a clubby bar. Then I came home.

(6:06am)

I'm at a PC bang right now in Daehaklo. Just watched Solaris with a
friend... a girl. Very cool girl. We met at around 10:00pm, walked
around for a while, then went shopping. After shopping for about 2
or so hours, we went in to see the movie. Then we came here to her
neighborhood. We were planning on eating something, but nothing is
fucking open. Hehe. So we just decided to come to a PC bang. It's
Monday morning... seeing all the busy people going to work as we
came out of the theater was pretty trippy. Such a busy city... Seoul.
Speaking of being busy, yesterday, or, Saturday, I went to 2 parties.
One was a House party at Heaven, and the other was a party at MWG.

Both were playing fuckin good music, but I was unable to dance due
to my leg being in pain right now. Hehe. Long story. Anyway, I still
managed to have a good night, just talking about meeting people. This
of course in no way substituted my incredible urge to dance, but it
had to do. But only once. Hopefully never again... yeah.

(8:43pm)

Went on a date last night. Well, sort of. Met up with a chikka I met
at Heaven Met up, had dinner, saw The Core which I thought was pretty
good, did some shopping, then went home. It was nice... this was
actually the 2nd date I've gone on this month. The first one was nice
as well. I'm actually in the process of trying to get hooked up with
a third chikka, but she's either playing damn hard to get, or she
just plain isn't interested. I refuse to accept the latter, so I'm
technically still in the process of trying to get her to go out with
me. Not officially, just meet up with me period. Hehe. Haven't been
dating like this since... since... hmm... can't even fucking remember
how long it's been. Lint. But yeah, dating is cool. Hehe. Chicks rule.

This past weekend was a party at Hongdae. It was an opening party for
a new club. A "warehouse" club. No furniture, no decorations. Just an
empty open area, with some balconies, a bar, and a DJ booth. Not bad
actually, kinda new. So anyway, the opening party was a Drumb and Bass
party, which I thought not many people would attend. I was wrong. It
was packed as hell, all night long. I couln't take anymore D&B, so I
ended up leaving at a bout 4:00am, but it was a good party. I went to
club MWG (formerly Myung Wul Gwan) and ended up ending the night there.
The party itself wasn't special other than the fact that it was a
secret location party. They didn't anounce the location until the day
of the party. a new concept, and I think it worked, cause it made a
lot of people extremely curious as to where the party was being held
more than anything else about the party. In any case, it worked, and
it was a fairly good party. But again, D&B all night for me is just
too much. Well, gotta get ready for work now. I think I might be
bying a new phone today. Hehe... pretty excited for that. I've been
using the phone I have now for about 3 years now. It's a good phone.
Never broke, and never let me down. But it's too old now, and it's
time for my phone to end it's time of service.

(3:30am)

I am evil for not sharing one of the greatest moments of my life since
returning to Korea. This past Saturday, the 5th, I attended a party at
Club Seduce that was thrown by 4 Trance music online clubs. It was the
best music I have heard since I have come to Korea in one night. All
Trance, all night. Unreal. Un-fuckin-real. I was blown away, and again,
and again... the horrendous part was that the party ended at 2:00am,
but due to the crowd cheering for more, it was extended 30 (whole)
extra minutes. God... what I would give to have a party like that every
week... or even once a month... it was so tight. Since I've come to
Korea, I've seen Paul Van Dyk twice, Kimball Collins, Ferry Corsten,
and numerous other great Djs in action, and of course they were great,
but this night was totally untouchable. Super stars can kiss my left
ass cheeck. These no-name underground Trance DJs put the big boys to
shame. In the States, I was spoiled with good music all the time from
having DJs as friends, but here, even though I am friends with a good
amount of DJs, nothing came close to this. I was 100% satisfied. And
to top it all off, I was hella rocked, and the caps felt like they
were laced with crack and jack. Hehehe. So yeah, that was the highlight
of my year so far... so far. Hehe... can you say, ID&T? Mu Ha Ha Ha!!!

Sucks to have to work, but in a sick way, it's kinda fulfilling.

(3:25am)

The rest of the week passed by with me doing interviews with various
hak-wons. Then Friday, I had a skier/boarder meeting, drank a bit,
then headed out to the Nori hip-hop party. Got to the party around
10:45pm, and went inside to find that the place was packed to the
max. 100% fire hazard... hehe. I obviously did not dance that much
since I am not the biggest fan of slow, redundant, main stream, radio
edit rap music. Echk. But I did have a great time seeing all the other
people have a good time, and there were MAD HOTTIES EVERYWHERE. There
is no question in my mind that this party had the highest percentage
of hotties than any other party I've ever been to. And the hotties
were TOTALLY HOT. There were also a shit load of celebrities. Since
I am not a big fan of Korean pop culture, I didn't really know who
was who, but I DID know that they were hot. Yikes. Anyway, the party
ended at 3:30am, so me and a couple DJs headed out to Hongdae. Went
to Matmata and what did I see? Oh yeah, DJ BATTLE!! Woo hoo~ They
fuckin went at it for a good 2 hours. All kinds of music, Trance,
breaks, house, progressive, hard, you name it... I fuckin danced my
heart out. Fuckers didn't give me one song to rest. Kinda reminds
me of a couple fuckers named Tom and Fred... hehe. Anyways, so
after I got kicked out at 7:30am, I headed home. Today, I got up
real late, as you can imagine, and went to a 77 meeting at 8:00pm,
and came home around 1:00am. I think this is the first Saturday I
spent without going to a club or a party in a LONG ASS TIME. Feels
like Sunday... hehe. Oh, I guess it is Sunday. DOH!

after the weekend meeting. Lookin' good so far. But I really don't
wanna work yet. I don't think I've gotten enough time to rest after
serving my country for 2 and a half years... But income would be dope
as well. Decisions, decisions... hehe. Anyway, hope everything works
out, and I should be making about 50 bux an hour... mad flow? Oh yeah.

3/23/03

(7:13pm)

Hmm... this is gonna be long... ready? The day of my birthday, I met
up with the Moms at Ewha to eat lunch with her. We went to this ultra
fancy French/Italian place. I had Seafood Cheese Gratin. It was so~~
good! Then I met up with my friend Hyunjoo, took her to my nail shop
to get her nails done, then we went to my piercing store and I got a
custom made silver Chrome-Art crown cellphone trinket. Dopeness. A
bit later we went to have dinner and some drinks, then I went home.
Not much for a birthday, but that wasn't the real thing. Oh, by the
way, I got a third piercing in my left ear, right above the other
two. Dope. So Friday I met up with Kyunglan and went to see the 9th
Annual Korean Musical Awards, televised of course. It was actually
a lot of fun. Afterwards, us and some other girls that Kyunglan knew
went to get dinner, then ice-cream. Saturday... met up with Junghoon
at 2pm in Apgu, and we watched Daredevil... not bad, but not what I
had expected. Then we had dinner at a pizza place, then went to get
coffee. The gave me a present, dope, and then she left and I proceeded
to Heaven to meet up with people to go to the Andy Van party. Who's
Andy Van? He's the guy member of Madison Avenue, but the girl was
unable to make the party due to being 7 months pregnant. So he just
spun a 3 hour set instead. The party was in Samsung Dong at a fashion

show center. We got to the party at about 9:30pm. The sound system
was pretty good, high ceilings, but the lighting was shitty. No good.
However, the crowd made up for that. Hmm... can somebody say "Hotty?"
Yeah. Like, mass hotties everywhere. I think there were more fuckin
hotties there last night then there were guys, and non-hotties mother
fuckin COMBINED. It was unreal. Visual stimulation? Amen. The music
was better than average, but since I was so hella rocked, I had no
problem dancing my brains out. Hehe. Shroooms-gallore~! The party
went on until about 4:00am, and then we headed out to Hongdae for
some after action. We went to Matmata, until about a bit before 7am.
We left, and then I made my way to Mokdong to meet up with peeps to
go visit Jihoon at the Training academy. It was a 3 hour drive, we
got there, ate, hung out, ate, talked and took pix, and ate some
more... did I mention we ate??? A lot?!?! We left the academy at about
3:00pm, and headed back for Seoul. I got home at about 7:00pm. I've
been up for about 33 hours... most of which was hard-core partying.
Am I getting old? I think not. Do I outlast little bitches that are
almost 10 years younger than I? Yes. Stamina? Oh yeah. But anyway,
it was a crazy, CRAZY ass Birthday weekend, and it was nice to hear
"happy birthday" from like, lots and lots of cool guys and hot girls.
Hope everyone else had a good weekend as well. Happy B-day to me~

Well, it's my birthday once again. Doesn't really feel special, since
I'm so happy about being out of the army. But, it is my birthday, so
I guess I should be happy none-the-less. I'm now 26 years old. I
still feel like I'm about 23 though. I guess I kinda stopped aging
since then... mentally and physically. Hehe. Funny thing. I met a girl
that had the same birthday as me. First time in my whole life. I feel
a special connection with her, but I know it's just in my head. =)
But yeah, I'm supposed to have a birthday party at the upcoming
Madison Avenue party on Saturday. It should be a big enough birthday
party for anyone. Shit, and I don't even have to pay for decorations!

(4:36am)

I'm a free man. I could yell and scream all I wanted to on this shit,
but I don't think there really are any words that would be able to
describe the way I felt, or the way I feel now. Freedom is the most
under-rated, uncherrished, and unvalued gift that we all have. I know
now how important freedom is, and I bet anyone else that has been
to the Army does as well. Or prison. But anyways, it's been a few days
since I've been out. The day I got out, the 14th, the Moms came and
picked me up and moved the rest of my shit back home. Then I went
straight to the hair salon... GOD I've been so SICK fo my black hair,
I couldn't take it anymore! It's blue now. Dark blue, but as time
goes by, it should get lighter and lighter. I should take a picture
once it gets a nice color. Then I got my ears pierced, met up with
my friend Hyunjoo, then went to Hongdae with Kyunglan and her friends.
We went to Matmata, I met a girl, she had a friend, the friend met a
guy, we all left together, got something to eat, then I went home.
The next day was a party at Heaven. A small one, kind of for the
cafe members. That was fun, then we went to Matmata afterwards, well,
just me and my friend Mike. Got home around 7:30am. Since then, I've
just been enjoying my freedom, enjoying my life, sleeping, eating,
sitting around... ah~~ so nice. But I should be looking for a job
soon, but right now, I just need to enjoy this total 100% freedom.

At the office. Juts fucking around on the internet, eating a pizza.
I got 4 days left in this bitch. Then I'm out for good. Kinda hard
to believe, but it's the damn truth. Thank God it's the truth. I left
base on Friday to do some paperwork down in Seoul, and I met up with
Kyunglan after I was done. I had a few hours to kill so we ate lunch
at Outback, and then did some shopping in Itaewon. Then I came back to
base. That was 3 days ago. Since then, I've been (in this order of
most to least) sleeping, watching movies, watching tv, eating. That's
it right there. Those 4 things have been the only things I do for the
past week, minus Friday. It's pretty crazy. I never realized how long
a day can feel without a computer. Tsk, tsk. Oh well. So who cares if
I'm addicted to my computer. like YOU'RE not? Yeah, whatever... hehe.

(4:18pm)

On the night of the 28th, there was a party at Heaven... it wasn't all
that, but it was a fun night, and a free night as well. We went to
Hongdae for after hours, first a bar, then to Matmata. Then on the
1st, there was another party at Heaven. This time, much bigger, and a
lot more people. It was supposed to be a disco party, so I freakin
went all out in a disco outfit, but it ended up being a hip-hop party
sometime in the middle of the night. However, it ENDED as a trance
night, so I was happy regardless. Again we went to after hours, but
this time stayed in Apgu. First a noraebang, then a bar. The 2nd, I
just woke up late, packed my shit up, met up with Hyunjoo to give her
some CDs, and then I was off to the JSA, which is where I am now. I
am in the process of "clearing" myself out of the army, which isn't
hard work or anything, just annoying. 8 days left... *sigh* Anyway,
so yeah, my fuckin 24 day leave was pretty fuckin awesome. I'm almost
done with the house, it looks pretty damn good considering it's still
a big mess. I met a bunch of new cool peeps, which I'm very happy
about, since Jihoon is no longer with me. I did a lot of cool things
too, like boarding for the first time, seeing a Korean musical version
of Romeo and Juliet, going to regular bars and sit playing "Korean
Style" which I am still very not used to... argh. But I guess the main
highlight of my leave was by far meeting new people. Hmm... I met a
bunch of people at the Hwajung77 meeting, mostly guys though... about
4 new people at the ski club I joined, I met some of Kyunglans friends
that are in the musical club, and I met a gang load of people going to
Heaven: Danny, Marky, Mikki, Mike, Kristy and Sheli, Mieh and Ara and
that girl who eats a lot and Boyung, Hoik, and a lot more people, but
don't know their names... their REAL names that is... hehe. But yeah,
I'm definitely excited to go back out and start hanging out with all
my new found friends, and of course, return to civilization...

(11:11am)

Shit... too much has happened, so I'll just hit the big ones. Going
backwards from yesterday, the 27th I went snowboarding for the first
time with Kyunglan to a place called Jisan Resort. I fell about 100
times, but I can board now. I still like skiing better... the 26th
I went to Dongdaemoon, bought an ass pad and knee pad set for the
27th, and some materials for the pants I'm gonna be wearing at the
Disco party on the 1st. Then I met up with a girl that lives in my
neighborhood who by the way is SO HOT!! We had dinner at Itaewon,
some drinks at Shinchon, then came back home on the same damn bus.
First time for everything right? The 25th I stayed home and tried
to finish the house, didn't happen. 24th was a movie day with some
friends from Ilsan, but instead we just went drinking... oh, and on
Sunday, I met up with some peeps to pick up some stuff, then met up
Kyunglan at Daehakro, met some of her friends, then we went to the
Dongdaemoons to catch a flick, and do someshopping. We saw 8 mile
which was actually alright, considering I don't really like hiphop.
But it brought back a lot of fun memories from the states. Detroit!
Tonight I am going to an old school party, which should be pretty fun
but I'm really waiting for tomorrow... hehe. Dope.

2/23/03

(4:00am)

Been a busy little bug. Hehe. Thursday I spend the day at home trying
to finish up cleaning the house. Didn't happen. Friday, I went to
Heaven for an informal meeting with the group. It was a small group,
no new faces. We stayed there for a while parying with another bunch
of peeps having their own meeting there. Then we stopped by a club
called Club Friends, or Bar C. It was... different. It was a pretty
private little place, members only. I am now a member, for free,
but I don't think I'll be going there anytime soon... Then we went
black to Heaven, stayed there for a while, then went to go drink
at a Japanese style bar. Then I left. Went over to Jane's place to
meet up with her for today. Went to bed, got up, then Me and Jane
went to the world famous Duggie-Dong for some outlet acton. I got
a cool ass new shirt from Adidas~ dope. Then we came to my place
so I could get ready for my meeting with the Hwajung 77 group. We
left my place, Jane went to go meet her friends, and I went to meet
my group. I got there about 9:00pm, and people were already drinking.
We drank there for about 2 hours, then moved locations and drank
some more... then people who had to leave left, and we headed to
one of the guys' place. We stayed there till about 3:00am, and then
I came home. And now I'm here. The group meeting of 77s wasn't all
I had expected... way too many guys, way too little girls. Hehe.
It's alright though, I need to meet some new guy friends anyway now
that Jihoon is in the army. And trust me, it ain't easy to find good
friends without taking a few shots in the head. Am I right?

2/17/03

(2:15pm)

I'm at home right now... still trying to unpack my shit and get the
house looking normal... it's taking a lot longer than expected. The
house still looks like it just got hit by a tornado. But I'd rather
do everything right the first time slowly, then rush to get it done
and end up redoing a bunch of shit later. But yeah, on V-day, I met
up with Kyunglan for lunch, and she got me a really cool chocolate
cake, which was very nice of her. Then I went to my nail shop, and
they got me a chocolate basket too, which again was very nice. Then
I met up with Sue and she got me some yummy chocolate AND bought me
dinner! Woohoo~ so yeah, my V-day was spent a lot nicer than I had
expected. Regardless, I was single... and still am. Anyway, The next
day I went to a meeting for a club called Heaven. It was actually a
lot of fun, whcih I didn't expect at all, first reason being that I
went alone, and second reason being that I had been to Heaven before
and it was dead as a graveyard. But this party they threw was mad fun
and there were a lot of people... almost a ful house I think. I also
got to meet some very cool new people~ which is always the best part
of going out. After the party, the people who stayed till the end
all rounded up and went to Hong-dae (oh, Heaven is in Apgu) to MI.
I hadn't been to MI in almost a year I think. Anyway, Uncle was
spinning and as always, spun a sweet set. But, there were WAY too many
people there, so no one really got to dance... sux. Then after that
we tried going to Matmata at about 4:00am, but they wanted 15000won
claiming it was some kind of "party" so we didn't go in and just
went to go eat. I ended up leaving first, since I don't really eat
after partying. Got home around 5:00am, and yesterday pretty much
slept in and stayed home cleaning the house. Did some shopping with
the Moms, and did some more cleaning. Don't really have anything
special planned for today either. But my room is coming along well.

(12:26am)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone~! Well, not that there's anything to be
happy about, considering I'm as a single as single-scoop icecream cone
on a sunny Sunday afternoon. But, I'm sure all you love birds out
there are having a great time, or at least plan to have one today.
Jealous? Who me? Hehe. Anyway, I got out on the 11th, just chilled
that day at home. Yesterday, I went to go see a musical of Romeo and
Juliet. It was actually pretty good, and I got an autographed (free)
CD of the performance signed by Romeo AND Juliet. Woohoo~ I went with
Kyunglan and her friend. After the show, we got some chicken and beer,
then me and Kyunglan went to Dongdaemoon to do some shopping. And some
shopping we did. We got there at 11:00pm, and left at 4:30am... we
made some pretty good purchases too. =) Then I came home, and today
I stayed in and just worked on my room all day. Rearranging furniture
and shit. Mad hard-labor... Tomorrow is V-day, and the only invite I
got so far is from the girls at the nail-salon. Better than nothing.

Oh, and for those of you who don't already know, Jihoon went to the
Army on the 10th of this month. I have pix up of it. It was pretty
fucked up, cause I felt like I had just been there myself, and now
it was his turn to go. I totally know how he feels, so it sucked
even more. Plus, I have lost my only good guy friend here in Korea.
I mean, I don't mind hanging out with girls, but shit, every guy needs
a bro to hang with... to talk about problems, to go out and meet new
girls... you know, to do guy stuff. But now, I am alone... how sad.
Makes me miss my bro's back in the states even MORE now... *sigh*

(8:27pm)

I'm at home right now. Just had dinner with the Moms. Well, yesterday
I woke at about 5:00pm, got ready, and headed out with Jihoon to a go
to club Heaven in Apgu. We met up with Tom76 and another friend of
Jihoon. We got to Heaven around midnight, and it was pretty dead for
a Saturday night. The interior was really nice, and it was super dark
which is always a plus. I got a free drink for being a member too~
Anyways, after Heaven, we headed towards Hongdae, but couldn't really
decide where to go into, so we just went back to Shinchon, had some
food, and then watched a movie, The Pianist (great flick), and all
headed home at about 8:30am. I got home, and went to bed, woke up at
about 4:00pm, and now I'm here on the computer. I'm not sure if I'm
gonna go out tonight, since it's Sunday, plus I have to get up early
tomorrow to go to Nonsan with Jihoon. But, we'll see.

2/8/03

(5:19am)

I'm out. I'm in Mokdong right now at a PC bang. I got out this morning
and took a nap. I then went to my Moms office to help her test some
After dinner with her, I went to my friend Jane's place to drop off
some stuff, and we went to Dong-dae-moon and did some shopping. She
went home at about 2:00am, and from there I headed to Shinchon to meet
up with Jihoon and his highschool friends. That ended at 4:00am, and
from there we headed to Mokdong, where I am now. Probably gonna go
crash at his place after we leave here. Not sure what's up for plans
tomorrow night, but since it's Jihoon's last Saturday before bootcamp,
so hopefully it will be a good night. Let's wait and see...
Oh, and I'm on pass right now, but my final leave starts Tuesday, so
I'm pretty much a free man until March 4th... then 10 days later, I'm
fuckin done... for good. Just thinking about it makes me wanna cry.

2/5/03

(1:29am)

Sheesh... time is just flying by faster than i can keep up. A good
thing for now. 36 days left. Counting? Who me?? Well, I haven't been
checking mail while on base, since I don't go to work anymore. I just
stay in my room, eat, sleep, play on my comp (no internet), and watch
movies and some TV, too. I sleep when I wanna sleep, and eat when I
wanna eat. I'm like a fuckin dog with no owner. Dope. Anyways, I go
on my final leave on the 7th, which is in 2 days, so pretty soon I
will be a free man for about 24 days. Then come back here for a week,
then I'm done for good. For those of you who don't already know, my
friend Jihoon that lives in Korea is going to the army on the 10th of
this month. So basically, this coming weekend is the last weekend we
will be hanging out for about 100 days or so. That's when he'll be
able to come out for the first time. So until then, I will either have
to only hang out with girls, or meet new guy friends... YEAH, THAT'S
GONNA HAPPEN. =) But who knows... life always has a couple tricks
up it's sleaves. Don't you agree? Right when you think you have life
by the balls, it whips out another set and smacks you in the face.

1/27/03

(10:27am)

Whoa... 2 weeks just kinda flew by. Nice. Well, I got back from my
pass last night. I came out on the 23rd, went home, then went to
Ilsan to meet up with Junghoon, we ate KFC, then she drove me to
Mok-dong, where I met up with Jihoon. Then Jihoon went to meet
some peeps, and I headed out to Ewha to get my ears done. After that,
I met up with the Moms, and we had dinner at Jessica's Pizzaria.
Then we headed home, and I went to sleep early. Woke the next day
pretty early, fucked around a bit, then went out to meet with the
Harvard Grad student Suejean. We met up at the Ilsan Lotte, got some
sandwiches, then watched Two Towers, then separated. I headed out
back to my neighborhood where I met up with Jihoon and Girl Kiwon.
From there we went to Shinchon to pick up some stuff that Yungshil
left at Ai's place for me to take home. Jihoon had run some errands
so during that time I watched a movie with Yoonsun, and got some
McDonalds too. Then Jhioon came came back to Shinchon, we got the
stuff from Ai, then we headed back to my place, chilled for a bit,
then crashed. I woke at 10:00am on the 25th, and Jihoon was already
gone. I fucked around at home, then went Duggie Dong with Suejean.
We did some shopping, then I went to Savezone where I ran into my
Mom, and we had dinner. Then at 8pm, I had a meeting with other 77's
in my neighborhood. They seemed pretty cool, and there were more
girls than guys, which is always a plus, and none of the girls were
ugly! As a matter of fact, 2 were very cute. Hehe. After hanging
out with them until about 10:30pm, I headed out to Seduce to meet
with Jihoon and Girl Kiwon for the Tilt party. I got there about
Midnight, and Tilt had just started. They sucked. Very dissapointing
and so very different from how they were back in '98. Luckily, they
only spun for 2 hours, and the next 2 DJs were really good, so the
party itself ended on a high note. After that, we went to MYungwul-
gwan, and then after that we went to Matmata. they closed up at
6:30am, and then we went to my place and crashed there. Got up at
about noon, Jihoon and Girl Kiwon left, and I slept more... I
was so freakin worn out from the drinking. I don't really drink
anymore, so when I do, it whoops my ass. Since it was Sunday
it was time for me to return to base. I got here about 9:00pm,
watched the new Adam Sandler movie Punch something? and went to bed.
And speaking of movies, LofR2 was so fuckin good. Totally Masque.
However, I for some unknown reason or another, enjoyed the first one
a bit more. Not by much, but a little more. Now I just have to wait
for the 3rd one... yay. When the fuck is Matrix 2 coming out???

1/14/03

(8:58pm)

Jihoon just left base. He came to visit me last night and stayed the
night. My roomate is on leave, so it was cool. We basically just
chilled in my room, talked about shit, listened to some tunes,
watched a couple DVDs, then went to bed. He left just now, after
pretty much doing the same thing today as well. It's always good to
have people visit me up here. Makes everything a lot nicer... well,
at least for that day. 58 days left. 29 days left before my final
leave. and 9 days before my next pass. Yup, that's the story of my
life on base. Just counting the days before the next time I get to
go out and be a part of civilization. Joy~. Well, hope everyone is
well... at least better than they were yesterday. =)

1/9/03

(1:03pm)

What's up? Not a damn thing. Just waiting around, counting the seconds
until my next pass. Oh, speaking of passes, I think we're getting a
special pass for the lunar new years. It's just a one night thing,
but shit, one night is a hell of a lot better than nothing. Other
than that, nothing really is happening to me. Everyday is like the
same day, and yesterday is no different from today. Most of the time
I don't know what time it is, or even the date, I just know that time
is ticking forward, and that's all I really care about. I have been
focusing my free time on watching movies (which I have been doing all
along), but a bit more than normal. Before it was 1 a day, maybe 2.
Now it's 2 or 3 a day, sometimes 4. Oh yeah, my insomnia's back. Yay.

1/2/03

(11:11am)

It's 2003. Weird. Anyway, I'm at home, got up early today cause I went
nowhere and stayed in all day yesterday. Recovery time from new years
eve... man, crazy fuckin night. We got to Lotte Hotel around 11:00pm,
and we immediately ran into Namyungs and a friend of Jihoons. The

music was aight, and then it happened... the guest DJ named Lisa Loud
got on the tables and it was horrendous. I couldn't believe I was
being forced to listen to such CRAP for new years eve... argh! But,
the party was open bar until 1:00am, all drinks, so we made our way
through her dumbass spinning ok. Talk about a shitty DJ, she had NO
skillz, NO sense of the crowd, NO sense of track connection... shit,
as far as I could see, the only thing she DID have was HUGE titties.
But, like I said, we were fucked up enough that it didn't ruin the
night. It bothered the hell out of us, but it was ok. Pretty fuckin
amazing what a positive attitude can do for you. Hehe. So yeah, after
the party ended at 5:00am, we headed to Myungwulgwan for the after
party, which was actually better music than the party itself. Once
that was over, Me, Jihoon and Yoonsun came back to my place and just
fuckin crashed. When I woke up, they were gone... and since then, I've
just been sitting at homme trying to recover from that night, and also
get adjusted to the new year. And of course, prepare myself to go
back to base tonight... sucks to be me, for 70 more days that is.
