Kids as Global Scientists

This is an eight-week weather program with world-wide participation that includes a structured weather curriculum with student worksheets, an Internet CD-ROM, hands-on science investigations, real-time activities based on information from the Internet, access to weather specialists, and telecommunication between students through an electronic message board.

Hurricanes

This program comes with a CD-ROM and a complete 106 page curriculum with ready to use lesson plans for 4 weeks, activities and student worksheets. It explores the structure of hurricanes, where they come from, how they form and move, what damage they can do, and what effects they have on humans.

Online Guide to Meteorology

The Online Meteorology Guide is a collection of web-based instructional modules that use multimedia technology and the dynamic capabilities of the web. These resources incorporate text, diagrams, animations, computer simulations, audio and video to introduce fundamental concepts in the atmospheric sciences.

Weather: The Atmosphere for Learning

This site from The Weather Channel has curriculum materials for Grades K- 12. One of the features is The Weather Classroom, a series of 33 eight-minute television episodes that motivates students with dramatic video clips, state of the art computer animation and a focus on how weather effects their every day lives.
