Survey Puts Us On 'Dean's List'

We've gotten our report card from you, and it looks like we passed. The results of a survey of 80 representative PCC patients, designed and conducted by Deborrah E.S. Frable of Ann Arbor, showed the percentage of respondents who were "very satisfied" or "satisfied" at 88.8% for "quality of medical services," 91.3% for "quality of the doctors," 82.5% for "quality of the nurses or nurse practitioner," and 80.1% for "quality of the office staff."

While those are high marks, indeed, we know that anyone who rests on their laurels is wearing them in the wrong place, so we also asked how we could improve or what additional services we could offer. "Reduce waiting time" and "more time to talk to doctors" were most frequently mentioned in the first category, while the leading nominees for additional services (although a few people questioned the need for any) were a reading group for young children, a weekly exercise class, and a seminar on nutrition.

There were a couple of other points we'd like to highlight. Our patients appear to be extremely loyal--36.3% of the respondents have been coming to PCC for 16-20 years--and the most frequently mentioned reason for choosing PCC was "liking a particular doctor," cited by 37.5% of the respondents. The "family/community atmosphere" was tops for 12.5%, while "affordable care" stood out for 11.3%.
