Paper due on 11/11

As discussed in class on Tues., Nov. 2, the next paper can be a parable (modelled after Kafka's stories like "A Hunger Artist") or it can be a short story, fairy tale, or poem about a self (fictitious is FINE) or an aspect of a life (yours?) or a transformed fairy tale, using Anne Sexton's _Transformations_ as an example.

As always, you should let me know if the topics are giving you trouble. Don't wait to do this paper last minute. I cannot accept late papers this time.

There are two Kafka books on reserve for you in the media room (formerly the Benz)--the library near the Auditorium in EQ. I marked some of the better-known or recommended stories or parables. Ask for RC Core 100 (Shier).
