I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) department at the University of Michigan. I work with Professor Alfred O. Hero III and Professor Indika Rajapakse. I received my Ph.D. in 2013 under the supervision of my advisor Professor Alfred O. Hero III, and was co-advised by Professor Clayton D. Scott. I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, in 2007.

My research interests include statistical learning from high-dimensional and small sample size problems, optimization, structured variable selection, and their applications such as data mining, learning, detection, etc. In particular, I am interested in developing novel methodologies motivated by real-world problems, with application to computation biology, and biomedical research.
