John Hugo Marcoux III - Systems Engineer

About Me

My name is John Marcoux, and I am currently a Systems Engineer contracted for Toyota Research Institute North America in Ann Arbor. I graduated in 2013 from the University of Michigan with my B.S.E. in Computer Engineering.

At the University of Michigan, I took a variety of courses which all prepared me for the fast-paced job market of today. I have focused my expertise on the embedded systems field, namely: the design, implementation, and optimization of embedded applications. Embedded systems stood out to me because they not only require the knowledge of software and how to use it efficiently, but also a vast knowledge of computer hardware and architecture. An embedded systems engineer must possess the programming skills of a computer scientist, the advanced circuitry knowledge of an electrical engineer, and the creativity to integrate those skills into various embedded platforms to solve problems. I believe I have learned all of these traits and more here at the University of Michigan.
