Kelsey Museum Karanis VR Project

Completion of the VR reconstruction of ancient Karanis for presentation in the new Kelsey Museum will entail progress in three areas.

1. Refinement of the digital texture maps used on the reconstruction geometry.

2. Completion of exact reconstructions of the North Temple complex, a granery, and a representative house.

3. Filling in the urban area of Karanis with representative structures along the lines of the ancient street system.

4. Production of 3D still and moving images, as well as 3D prints, for exhibition in the 3-panel theater, kiosks, and website of the expanded Kelsey Museum.

The potention of the Karanis project can be extrapolated from the online version of the Pisidian Antioch project and exhibition, which can be accessed via the link below.
