Why I Dance
When you are dancing with your partner, for that two and a half minutes, you are in love with each other. You're corresponding with each other by the moves that you make. It's a love affair, between you and your partner and the music. You feel the music, you feel your partner, she feels you and she feels the music. So there the three of you are together. You've got a triangle, you know. Which one do you love best?

Swing Dancing In Ann Arbor
Tuesday Night Blues at the Phoenix Center Union, 220 S Main St.
Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday Swing Detroit holds this event.
Wednesday Night Vintage at the Michigan Union, 530 S State St.
This dance is sponsored by Swing Ann Arbor. The music at this dance generally lends itself to vintage lindy and charleston.
Thursday Night Cotton Tails at the Michigan Union. This is a lindy dance troop which focuses on refinement of technique and performances.
Friday Night Groove at the Dakota Building, 1785 W. Stadium
This dance is sponsored by the Ann Arbor Council for Traditional Music and Dance. The music at this dance generally lends itself to smoother lindy and blues.
Saturday Night Blues at a coop north of central campus. This is a new event in Ann Arbor which is slowly growing. The music at these events lends itself to blues dancing and bluesy lindy hop.
