Novi in Motion helps students to track their own physical activity and the physical activities of others in their class. Students enter their time in the 100 yard dash and their maximum twenty minute run, as well as the information from others in their class, into a ClarisWorks spreadsheet. The spreadsheet then calculates and graphis students' average and total speed and shows the student how he compares with the rest of the class.
Novi in Motion meets the following physical education objectives (click on an objective to see it in context):
Grade 5 Objectives
- I can run a prescribed course while varying the time and use of space .
- I can perform a long-distance run-walk within a specified time .
