It has a function which represents a unique threat to public safety.'"Luvera may or may not be a jackass ambulance-chasing shyster, but he clearly knows nothing about guns. An assault weapon and a sniper weapon have totally different functions. The Bushmaster design is not especially dangerous. As the owner of a similar though superior weapon, I can personally assure you that these weapons do have a sporting purpose. For target shooting, their lightweight triggers and excellent sights make them tremendously fun.
