I am an RTG Assistant Professor in mathematics at the University of Michigan. My interests lie somewhere in the intersection of algebraic geometry and arithmetric geometry. Some things that I like are abelian varieties, compactified Jacobians, Brill-Noether theory, moduli of sheaves, and positive characterisitic pathologies. My notes (located under "Writing") provide a reasonable overview of my mathematical interests.

During college, I worked at the Ross Mathematics Program at the Ohio State University for several summers. The program is an eight week long residential program for high school students. I highly recommend the program! It is an excellent experience for talented students interested in mathematics.

Teaching

I am teaching Math 115-19. My office hours are on Sundays from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Math Lab More information will be posted here soon.
