Research Interests

My primary research interest is to understand the role of cognition in emotion and emotional disorders. In particular, I am interested in biases in information processing which contribute to development and maintenance of abnormal emotional states. While at the University of Michigan, I have been involved in research exploring influences of attentional-control on memory biases in major depressive disorder utilizing event-related potentials (ERPs). Also, I am involved in an ERP research on influences of sleep on memory biases of depressives.
