The Bulbs were a really glorious show this year.

The grass was really thin and weedy, so we started the border on the lawn side of the walkway last Fall. The hexagonal stepping stones were placed to guide the Mail-Carrier through this flower bed.

The other side of the walkway has a large number of bulbs that we planted in previous years.

The leading edge of large stones were moved further out into the front lawn to replace more thin grass. Now they accommodate the variety of plants that we found liked to be in front of our house.

Colors in the front yard come at various heights. The sedum on the spirea side of the walkway was the nursery for what we did to that strip of ground between the sidewalk and street. I just love the purple irises against the spirea, and this year those pink tulips kept going long after all the rest.
