Create Bump Map for Berserker@Quake2 using PhotoShop requires 32-bit TGA (RGB) + Alpha 0.0. texture.tga, texture is the name of the Quake 2 texture 0.1. create a copy of texture.tga, rename it texture_bump.tga 0.2. copy texture.tga (diffuse), paste into Alpha Channel of texture_bump.tga (becomes greyscale in Alpha Channel) 1. draw height map for a diffuse texture 2. put put height map in Alph Channel of diffuse texture automate the following steps and call it q2-bump New Action -> q2-bump -> Record 1. click on Channels 2. select all Alpha channel, Copy, De-Select 3. click on Layers 4. Paste, set layer -> Overlay 5. Paste, set layer -> Color Dodge 6. Paste, set layer -> Screen 7. Flatten Image 8. Filter -> nVidia Tools -> NormalMapFilter... 9. use these settings - 4 sample, Min Z 0, Scale 5, Ambient Light, Average RGB, Alpha Field Unchanged, all others blank 10. OK 11.
