Constellations and Mythology

Home

I find it increasingly difficult to read due to my visual deficit.
I rely on Text to Speech. Many documents work fine.
Those that are ill formatted I convert to epub and fix the shortfalls.
Maybe others will benefit from my effort which started for personal use.

I am teaching myself to recognise the pattern of stars in the Night Sky.
The accumulated resources are scattered across the internet.
There is a lot of data and I organized in my mind in the following way.

Stellarium - http://www.stellarium.org/ - is a free open source planetarium for your computer.
It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope

The Constellations have neighbouring Constellations in both proximity and story.
Greek Mythology holds them together.

Apollodorus The library Apollodorus, of Athens - vol 2

These two books are scholarly works from Creation to The Wanderings of Ulysses.
I wanted to listen to the stories, so I reformatted them without commentary nor footnotes
and corrected typos from the scans. It was more work than I anticipated.
They are available here for anyone who wants to hear the stories.
