Research

I've been working with Ford on the research and software for their fully-automated vehicle program since 2012. I did my thesis with Edwin Olson in the APRIL lab at the University of Michigan. My interests center around autonomous robotics and include perception, coordination and mapping. I was part of Team Michigan, the winner of the MAGIC 2010 contest, where I worked on various software infrastructure, as well as the HMI and the mapping solution.

From 2006 to 2009, I worked on Bowdoin College's autonomous robot soccer team, the Northern Bites. My contributions included a humanoid walk engine for the Nao humanoid robots: code(github) and undergrad thesis(pdf). We placed first and third in the Aibo league in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and second in Nao league in 2009.
