THEORETICAL MODEL

An attempt was made to keep the visualization theory agnostic, in that only the most uncontroversial aspects of security analysis were hard-coded into the tool logic. We wanted the visualization to be equally valuable to investors acrosss a broad spectrum of hypotheses and resulting strategies. Because of this the tool makes very few decisions for you — it simply makes it easier to act upon preexisting strategies and aids in building new strategies based upon inherent market interaction patterns.

It is important to remember that all of the analysis undertaken using this tool is done within the context of portfolio optimization. This decision was motivated primarily by two factors: first, that portfolio diversification is one of the most fool-proof methods of eliminating risk and maximizing profits; second, that the mathematical modeling required to optimally diversify a portfolio is beyond the ability of the typical investor in our target group.
